Why did you buy a Pibbs? I thought the LCL has a one year warranty. Didn't they send you a new one?

I got my Pibbs 514 Kwik Dryer on Casters from Buy Rite Beauty on Black Friday 2013 for $280 including shipping charges. After about 5 months of using it once a week, it stopped blowing out hot air. I called them and they are sending me a replacement free of charge. They are also sending a return label for the broken one so I do not have to pay for return shipping charges. I believe the dryer has a 1 year warranty, but I am not 100% sure. Also, they carry various models of Pibbs dryers.

When, I contacted them, they gave me two options. One was to be sent a kit to try to fix it myself (probably would not have been too hard - it was probably the heating coil that played out since the dryer stopped heating up); the other was to send the hood in to be fixed. If they couldn't fix it, they were going to replace it. I'm not a handy person, so I didn't feel like trying to fix it myself and I didn't feel that I should have to pay shipping to return it to them to be fixed, so I never did. In essence, they were willing to honor the warranty.
When the dryer was working, it was great. I used it a lot, at least 2 times a week. Now that I have a Pibbs, I would say that the two are comparable. I guess I was kind of a skeptic because this was my second LCL product that broke. I had a steamer before and it died after about a year...

It was under warranty the first time I sent it back, but I had to pay shipping and return shipping which ended up being $70-$80. The second time, it wasn't under warranty and I didn't unpack it right away. I waited a few months, because I wasn't using it. So when I did finally unpack it to use it and discovered it didn't work, I knew I probably couldn't make a case since it was a couple of months after they shipped it back. I suppose if I'd noticed right away that it didn't work when they sent it back that they would have done the right thing and been willing to fix it again.

Amazon. I got a knockoff from Sally's that broke after one use. I returned it and flipped it for a Pibbs. I love it so far.

Years ago ......through LHCF when a member organized the group discount. It was the best reason to have been on this site back then.
I didn't realize Sams sold hair dryers. They sell hair steamers too?
I got my PIBBS as part of this deal too.
