Dear Youtubers,

-5 hr long intros!!! pleeease condense it down to a few seconds. yasss, you make great kissy faces, and your music selection was great, but I just wanna know how you deep condition lol.

-spit out the gum, homie! I'm not trying to hear all that!!! :lol:


what are some things that bother you?
 
-Phones ringing
-animals in the background
-really long intros
-messy, distracting backgrounds

I'm sure I could think of more, but those are some that really annoy me.

Please CLEAN the room that is in camera view.

Make yourself appear presentable on camera. (comb hair, some sort of makeup, something).

Speak clearly and intelligently.
 
The smizing and preening taking up half the video. I start wondering if I stumbled upon a dating video and not as the titled stated a product or technique review.
 
Music being louder than their voice

Overly grainy/blurry camera

Music laced with too much profanity

Product reviews without demos of using the product or at the very least showing the consistency of the product
 
Quit smacking. Ugh! You don't need to be in such a hurry to tell us what you use for your hair or face that you audibly swallow spit for 5 seconds as if you're trying to get down that last bite and then smack.
Just a personal pet peeve of mine.
 
Doing a video ONLY to show off your new hairstyle but not providing any instructions or demo on how to achieve it.:ohwell: Please stop.
 
Cursing excessively
Dirty Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen or Living Room
Rambling about your 'life' and not getting to the purpose of the Video
Talking to someone while taping i.e. pets, kids, phone, etc.....
Loud Head-Banging Music


I try not to watch too many of it.

Videos that are too long for no reason ie, a twist out video shouldn't be 20min. Speed that ish up.
*too much rambling
*too many interruptions
*stop saying "stay tuned" like you're going to a commercial break
 
Ok, for your Bantu Knot-out, braid-out, twist-out, etc... I really don't need to see you demonstrate by twisting or braiding your whooooole head of hair! Just do a few so that I can get the hang of it, then come back with the results please!

Shoot, I usually just have to fast forward the video.
 
-Doing an OOTD, and not being able to remember where you purchased most of your outfit.

-Uploading several videos at one time.

-Being too silly or goofy in videos. I like when beauty gurus have a nice sense of humor, but don't go overboard with it.

BeautifulBrwnBabyDol literally has breaking news and commercials in the middle of her vids. At least she did when I was subscribed to her, I unsubscribed from her channel because of it.

Dear Youtuber:

1) You need a better camera and lighting. If its blurry and dark I will not watch even if you have fabulous hair.

2) Please get some better angles: I can't take looking at you from under your chin-- or over your head. Besides, we can't even see your hair!!!

3) If you are giving a tutorial or a styling vid, you MUST have an after. Don't give me this old line, "I had to get to work"! Or "my hair was wet when I took it down." Then WHY did you post this tutorial if you didn't have the finished results??? Why is there a styling vid w/no results?

4) Oh yeah, stop touching and picking your face all the time. Please be a lady in front of the cameras.

5) I second whoever said be presentable: please throw on some makeup-- lipstick, eyeliner, something! Having not a lick of makeup w/crusty lips and hoarse voice is just wrong.

6) Your hair should be done. Coming on video after video w/hair pulled back or looking unkempt & talking about how to grow long hair is ridiculous. Show us you have hair first.

When videos end with them saying "Follow me on xyz, like my post, don't forget to subscribe, my blogs address is, follow my homie" etc etc so it takes up 5 minutes of the video. Put all the damn links in the comments box.

When you upload one video for every three months :(

Lawd, I cannot stand that! Love her, but KKQ (KinkyKurlyQueen) is infamous for that.
 
Not leaving the products mentioned in the video in the description box

Not leaving the name of the song playing in the video in the description box
 
Doing a product review and saying that you will put the ingredients in the description bar and then spending 5 mins struggle reading through the ingredients list!! cet....cetearyl???? alcohol...beh...behen...GAH it's in the description!!! If it's in the description and you have told the veiwers that, at MOST, just hit the main stuff like, oh this has no cones or mineral oil, don't forget to check out the ingredients in the description.
 
slowly making your videos about your child, pet, S/O... I signed up because you started off doing hair and makeup, now it's about your family. Just create another channel
 
Oh yes I agree with some many of these sentiments.

Tell me what happens when someone uploads several videos at once. Why is it annoying? I don't watch youtube much.
 
Having your subscribers do 150 things in order to enter your damn giveaway, like please....ain't nobody got time for that nonsense. We all love free things, but we shouldn't have to jump through hoops.
 
You guys said all mine except one and I don't know how much of this falls on the vlogger, but can you tell me why I have to sit through 30 seconds of commercial when your video is barely over a minute long. That is ridiculous. If you care about your fans, you can at least make your short videos freebies.

The stay tuned part gets me every time. But I think that's because a lot of girls would record the intro to their videos after they did the hair style or tutorial, so it made sense in their head to say "stay tuned," but after a while, it became a habit for some.
