Your hair is beautiful. I just staring using henna and I like it so far! How often do you do it. I've only done it twice. Two weeks apart.

Pretty hair!! I just hennaed today! Get ready to go through a bottle of conditioner washing it out :P

i only see my scalp slightly red

they say true color shows in two days, we will see

its not that big of a difference. when i rinsed it out and deep conditioned for fifteen minutes it felt weird, the best way i could describe was like rubber lol

i don't think it was worth waiting hours for. i know it's natural and i shouldn't have expected more and i didn't but the results was meh. hopefully it benefits health wise or i won't do again. i rather just dye my hair to be honest ....

close up with flexi rod still in, it was taking forever to dry, i don't even care about the curls no more smh

Was this your first time trying henna Lilmama1011 What did you do? Steps for henna I mean.

i mixed 100g if henna in a glass bowl , squirted some lemon juice, and slowly added boiling water making sure to have a thick pudding consistency and and put two plastic caps on the bottom and top of bowl and came back from doing errands about five and a half hours later and applied and put a plastic cap on, a stocking cap and another plastic cap on for four hours and rinsed out. i thought it would take forever to rinsed but it didn't, just a bit longer than normally washing my hair in the shower.oh yeah i did it in four sections. i rinsed each section one by one, shampooed each section and apply my tea V 05 conditioner and let sit while i moved on to the next and rinsed out the v05, t shirt dried my hair and applied my herbal essence none of your frizzness (love the smell: ) and went under dryer for fifteen minutes, my hair felt weird, like strong but soft and i styled my hair KammyGirl

im loving the color more and more, in the light i see it did take very well

ignore the frizz, i was literally up in the morning doing my hair and the back was slightly damp and i wanted to sleep lol

Looking lovely Lilmama1011!

The color surely did take. And the gloss it added to your strands is gorgeous too.

The more you do it, the richer the color too.

I love the smell of henna and the process. But it doesn't take too well to my hair. My sister did a henna to my hair in December of last year and my hair which was BSL broke off so short I couldn't tuck it behind my ears. I still had hair that was BSL but it was so thin! I have researched everything I could find on the internet and no one has made a complaint about henna bringing out their hair. When I asked her if she put anything extra in it she said that she used tea but that shouldn't have been a problem. My hair was permed at the time but according to research henna is safe for permed hair.

I am 20 weeks post my last relaxer and transitioning. (yay me!) I have always stretched my hair for 12 months between relaxers, however in '08 and again in '12 I was blessed with 2 boys and my hair became very hard to handle during that time so I relaxed more often (every 4 months). Now I have decided to stop completely and I didn't transition alone. I have 3 daughters ages 20, 18 and 16 and a niece age 19 who all came alone for the ride.
My girls have all had henna treatments done by me and they have had no problems with breakage. However my oldest two girls both used the henna mixed by my sister and they both had breakage. Theirs wasn't as bad as mine.
I didn't do the BC but I did cut it back up to my shoulders. Now it is almost APL. I love the henna and I want to do my hair again but I am terrified of damaging it again.

i am relaxed, i didn't use tea idk why your hair broke unless your allergic Hellena

There have been teas that break off hair. I'm an avid tea and henna user and have found out through trial and error which teas and herbs my hair won't accept. Hellena

For the most part I just mix my henna with distilled water. That does the trick just fine.
