I guess the Pomade Shops Rosemary or Peppermint growth pomades would fit that description. They are like a old fashioned grease consistency. Liquid Gold Green Magic has a butter-cream consistency. None of them smell really bad to me.
As far as growth/results I can't speak on that. I haven't been measuring my growth rate, just using them for good measure right now really.

How's the smell? I hate that so many products marketed to us have all these strong scents.

Keracare dry and itchy scalp glossifier. It's basically the same as Sulfur 8, but much less greasy feeling.

In no Particular Order:
Camille Rose Ajani Growth Hair Balm
Naturelle Grow (ETSY) Rosemary, Peppermint Parsley Hair Pomade
Naturelle Grow (ETSY) Honey Hair Growth Balm
Hydratherma Naturals Growth Lotion
Liquid Gold's Green Magic
Claudie Hair Revitalizers Hairline & Temple Balm Revitalizer

Really? That stuff made my hair feel like an oil slick. Sulfur 8 was much less greasy to me. I will admit that it smells much better than Sulfur 8, though.

Not trying to be funny, but the best growth aids I can think of that meet all your criteria are:

Good, balanced nutrition
Regular cardio exercise
Drinking enough water
Proper sleep

If these things are on point, your hair will grow at its optimum rate. Then it's just up to you to retain what you grow.

Pomade Shop Peppermint or Rosemary Pomade on Etsy. Great grease consistency, prompt shipping and great CS. These smell amazing imo. The Hawaiian Plumeria is kind of strong (but I like stronger scents) and the Vanilla scent is milder. You may want to message her and ask if she can make one unscented for you. I don't know about actual hair growth. I have been using them every other day for a little over a month now.

I've had both scents from the pomade shop and they are both nice, not too overpowering. The vanilla is my favorite and not a super strong scent to me. I only slightly smell the sulfur.

ETA: The Pomade Shop: Peppermint, Coffee, Rosemary Hairitage Hydrations: Sprout, Jar of Joe
Another vote for hairitage hydration sprout. It won't grow out bald spots ( not mines at least), but it will give nice growth. Virtually no scent at all, non greasy, easily spread texture. It has a ver faint smell of peppermint.
Also another vote for the inversion method, lol.
