How much condish are yall using in one sitting!? i have bottom of neck fine to normal strands and used up about 1/3 or 1/2 of a jar of garnier sleek and shine 3 minute masque which is a 10 oz jar. I have lots of condish to use up so I'm not even tripping at this pt but when I cut down I don't wanna have to buy DC every 3 washes!!! :drunk:

3 scoops with my hand out of the 80 oz tub then I mix it with olive oil and coconut oil
It almost fills a cereal bowl (a little over 3/4 of the way)

I also do the relaxer method and I love it (I'm quite heavy handed) lol. I always make sure I stock up on condish.

This is the very reason why I had to stop using my beloved Humecto (I'm like Trey Songz-- my neighbors know Humecto's name LOL)...it was costing me too much to apply enough to get my hair soft & conditioned!!! I was going through it so quickly especially since I'm at 18 weeks post. I have switched to Elasta QP Intense b/c its 3.99 for a 8 oz. bottle compared to $12- 15 for an 8 oz bottle of Humecto.

You need to get the 5 lb (80 oz) tub for about $40 instead. Or switch to a Dominican conditioner that you can get in the 60 oz bottle for around $20.

Another tip: towel dry your hair properly before putting in the Humecto. I find that it works waaaay better and I use less when my hair isn't dripping wet.

Thanks for these tips. :yep: I've looked into the Humecto in the tub. They don't sell tubs of Humecto or Dominican conditioners where I live. Online, I've seen tubs of Humecto around $40- $50, but the shipping alone pushes it up to $60- 65 and I'm too cheap for that!!! Also, I've never used Dominican products so I wouldn't know what to get anyway. Like the Humecto in the tub, I'd be buying that online as well and I'm sure I'd be paying through the nose for shipping.

Think of it this way: If you spend $60 on 80 oz it works out like buying those 8 oz bottles for $6 each. Waaaay cheaper.

Here you go: http://www.amazon.com/Avlon-Kera-Humecto-Creme-Conditioner/dp/B000NNCA3O/ref=pd_sim_bt_2 and http://www.discount-beauty.com/keracarehumectocremeconditioner5lb.aspx

Funny, I live in Jamaica and got my 5lb tub for about US$35 :king:

I use plenty of dc when I apply it using this method. Especially late in my relaxer stretch, it's the only way I'm able to condition my hair from root to tip.

I buy Nexxus Humectress at Costco (huge bottle) and I load up on Motions CPR from Sally's every few months using their 15% off coupons.

Ok so now I know I'm not crazy. DC, prepooing and even just moisturizing my hair is EATING UP my products. I'm 16 weeks going on 17 weeks post and my hair is super close to or is BSL.

I even underestimated the prepoo mix amount that I would need, it was only enough for half of my head!

Interesting. I feel like I use less product doing this method and im natural. Before when I used to be relaxed I would apply the conditioner just kinda random and I used a lot then. Maybe now I use very thick conditioners and for the most part, a little goes a long way.

I use about 4 cups of homemade DC every time. I'm APL 4B natural.

Pics of DC consistency and hair saturation:

I use a lot, but I'm very heavy-handed. But I have to use this method, it's the only way my whole head feels moisturized.

I use a lot as well. Like 1/3 of the bottle. But I don't care because my staple will be Aussie and its cheap. Now if it was a 40 dollar conditioner that would make me just part bigger sections

I am APL and natural and I apply DC in about 10 sections. I used up about 1/4 of an 8 oz jar of SD Vanilla Silk today. I will get about four or five uses out of it. I DC once a week or more so that is about a month or a little over for me.

What's the ingredients?
Looks yummy.

Deeper into my relaxer stretch I section my hair into four parts (and take mini sections within each part) and apply relaxer style roots first. When I am done with each section, I apply conditioner to the rest of that section. My roots are my focus because they are the driest. My hair MUST be saturated otherwise it won't act right. Sometimes I even use a more moisturizing conditioner on my roots and something different on my hair.
