Is anybody else tender headed?!

I'm just curious if someone else has found a way to combat tender-headedness. Right now ginger mixed with coconut milk or mixed with henna seem to be the only things helping, but that requires a lot of time and washing/conditioning. Has anybody found something a bit more convenient?

Im curious to know what ladies refer to as tender-headed? My mother use to always say that I was tender headed but now that I do my own hair, I beg to differ. I can take anything and getting my hair braided is like a scalp massage. Lol

Not being able to stand people in your hair because it hurts your scalp is being tender headed. Mine is/was bad enough that when I was little my mom would start doing my hair while I was asleep and I would wake up crying. I'm hoping to find something to help with it a bit.

Im not at all but i still say ouch if my hair is pulled because i don't want breakage and me sitting there Iike a idiot. Even though I'm not tender head i would never let my cousin do my hair. She braid so tight your scalp feels like its on fire and semi numb. She did my hair when i was little never again

My step daughter is tender headed. I barely touch her hair with a brush and she will cry, sweat, freak out. Her hair is 2A but it doesn't matter she still freaks out. I don't know what to do.

My tender-headedness didn't come about until I began my HHJ. As a child, I could sit through all sorts of hair punishment with ease. Now there are times when my head feels sore for no apparent reason (I'm starting to suspect my use of castor oil). It is during these episodes when my tenderness is at its peak that any manipulation at all is murder on my scalp.

Wooooooow! Wake up crying...now that's serious. :(

I've found mixing ginger root powder with coconut milk or my henna/cassia mix and applying it to my scalp helps, but I have to do one of the mixes at least once a week. So I've been rotating mixes weekly. I've tried rosemary oil but it doesn't help.

I am very tender headed. I've always been that way, I don't let anyone manhandle my hair. I don't think it's necessary to cause pain when detangling/combing/parting hair. Just take your time and be gentle.

Raises hand, "ME! ME! ME!". When I get my hair washed and trimmed I REFUSE to let my hair be combed. It hurts so bad that it STILL brings tears to my eyes. I take my own combs and I detangle right there in the shop myself. I also go when there are very few people.

I cut the front of my hair down to about two inches one time, thinking that the length contributed to my tender-headed-ness. Nope. It hurt just as bad. I try to prevent my hair from getting tangled in the first place and I take my time with my hair. Those two things combined help me and my scalp a lot.

I'm tender-headed to the point where I can't even get my hair done professionally. I've always been that way.
