oh HAYYYYLE NAW, me and my hair don't play those games. I can't just blow dry my freshly washed hair all willy-nilly, I gotta have some kinda tension somewhere to stretch it out.

I saw this commercial the other night and thought it was a joke at first. I doubt I'd have any hair left if I used this thing but I have very fine, low density hair.

Yeah, I don't see that working in natural hair as well.... It would probably look like a hurricane came through lol but would be helpful for relaxed and straight hair in general. They don't even have a black model to show results

I should be getting mine in the next week or two - waiting for my US colleagues to bring it to me when they come over from the states. Will update once I've used it.

I liked the idea of it being a non-direct heat way of getting curls/waves on the morning of doing your hair if you haven't roller set/bantu knotted the night before.

Obviously it would work better on bsl hair or longer. It's not particulary expensive so if it doesn't work then oh well...

Reminds me of that thread about "final words before a major setback". Good luck! I'd be worried it would dread/matte my hair. Are you relaxed/do you mostly wear your hair straight?

I can't wait to hear the review. If you can get curls in a matter of a few minutes and it not be tangled, count me in :)

is it just me or did those curls on the commercial look bad?? who walks around like that?? Not I.

Honey Bee I finally tested this out I think it works well but as I am SL with layers at the front I had to get the bowl really close to my roots to get a wave at the front of my hair. Also I tried it on my white colleagues hair as the girls at work were intrigued and wanted to test it out. It worked on one of them who had a little bit of oil in her hair, but not the other who had freshly washed dryish hair.

I haven't used it on my whole head yet, only a section, but my verdict is if you have APL hair or longer I would recommend it, but for the curls to last you will need to spray it with some light holding spray or apply something like olive oil styling mousse before you curl it.

There were no tangling issues, but on my colleagues European hair it seemed to give them a few flyway strands, but nothing that couldn't be neatened up afterwards - that didn't happen to my hair though.

When I saw this for the first time in Bed Bath and Beyond, my first thought was literally GTFOOHWTBS.

It's not discrimination against us or anything... But errythang ain't made for errybody.

Personally, I see this as a creative toy that my naps can't afford to play with.

Yes, I'm relaxed, I mostly ear my hair straight or curly. It doesn't seem to be in danger of dreading the hair, if anything it might dry it out, but just need to make sure your ends are well moisturized.

ETA - wouldn't dream of using this on natural hair though.

They did a spot on this gadget on my local nightly news. They test out things that people ask them to and give the lowdown. Anyway, they said that this thing will tangle your hair badly, and that the curls do not last. Save your money.
