I always assumed I had hard water because of the tangles and the not feeling so moisturized after rinsing conditioner but now I see mines is between 8 and 9.

Found this online. If your water is above 8.5, it is hard water:

The normal range for pH in surface water systems is 6.5 to 8.5, and the pH range for groundwater systems is between 6 to 8.5.
 
I'm afraid to check. i thought water was supposed to be neutral. Shouldn't the pH for water be 7? Watch mine be like 8.5 or 9 lol
