Behold the Denman!

I finally got the coveted Denman brush....now what are we doing with these again? Any relaxed heads using one successfully?

I use the D-24 Double Row Detangling Comb.

It's been very successful for me (as a Relaxed Head), smoothing and removing knots & tangles

my hair has just recently gotten strong enough to use it without ripping out major amounts of hair. still I had my daughter showme how to take out two rows of bristles so that I have every other row. It works nicely now

I use my Denman in the shower to detangle and after I baggied to detangle my ends. Some naturals have stated that the Denman thins their hair but I'm so addicted to my Denman I haven't been able to let it go to see if their is a difference. I believe I have the D7

This is what I did. I have a denman, but my hair is very prone to tangling. I just took out a couple of rows of teeth and now I love it. I don't use it every day. I use my wide tooth comb and bristle brush.

I bought and modified it so that it wouldn't be a waste. I would probably not purchase it again.

Natural. Owned mine for about 3yrs now. Had to strengthen my strands to get the full/good effects of it. I LOVE the denman brush (and my knockoff denman comb for flat ironing) now!!!

For my hair, it is that great. I've been using my denman for five years now and it has been a godsend for me. My hair is natural, extremely thick, and very hard to detangle with a comb -- I've broken many combs throughout my life, lol. For that reason, I decided to not modify my denman. The brush glides through my hair, makes detangling a breeze, and really gets rid of shed hair. I mostly use it to detangle my hair with conditioner after washing or with leave in when im styling my hair.

Others use it distribute product evenly throughout hair while styling, define their curls while using gel, use it in conjunction with a blowdryer to help get hair straight, similar to the round brush technique. (I wouldn't recommend that though, the red area of the brush may melt, but to each their own)

Other users may have to chime in with the way they use it.

All in all, I love the brush and will continue to purchase. I've had the same brush all these years and it's still going strong.

I'm a relaxed head and love my Denman. I have the Strawberry Denman. I want a pink one too...​

Just watch out. Some can use it some cannot. It caused a set back for me so I will not try it again.

For me the Denman is the debil. It does not work for everyone. It took a good 4 inches off my hair. That is for me APL.

This works for so many people but it literally ripped out my hair. I modified it and took out a few rows but it still ripped out my hair. The edges felt like a rake against my hair. Spent a fortune on shipping and it's just a useless brush on my shelf now

My exact experience and it cost me 10 Euro, that is 4 bottles of my DC that will last me for 4 months.
