She is Russell Simmons niece. Her father is RUN from RUN-D-M-C. There was a reality show on mtv called Run's house several years ago that she was on. She also has a shoe company called Pastry or Pastries.

naija24, I think some people esp. celebs it seems, would prefer to deal with weave than their own hair. I don't understand it either because I find weave to be a pain in bum after a while and I don' think its any easier to care for on a day to day basis either. (but then again I am a weave novice)

Also entertainers are constantly being "messed with": singers/musicians with the heat, lights, sweat, etc; actors and models hair is constantly being manipulated on set, but I don't know what Angela Simmons does - according to IMDb, not much.

Don't get me wrong, I like that her hair is healthy underneath because it shows you can wear a weave and have a head full of hair. But why not embrace your own hair and stop supporting the weave suppliers....
