Update...

Thanks!

If we have a good initial response from the discount I will keep it open for the month of January.

Or perhaps we can setup something up for LHCF members.

Garner do you know the owner of this business? I emailed asking for the length of the long and short Satin Sakks on Thursday. I received no reply, so I tweeted the question on Friday. Still no response.

Do you know if the length of the long and short Satin Sakks? I was unable to locate this information on the website. Also, is that discount code still good? TIA

I got some when they first came out and I really liked them They never respond back to me either(phone or email):/ I wanted to order 1 for all my immediate female family(6) so they really missed out on some business oh well. The long is very long probably could fit pokahontas or empressi straightened hair with very little bend. The short is a little pass shoulder length just to give you a rough idea:)

Does anyone have a black one? Does the color run?

Every satin bonnet I get that is black, the color runs onto my pillowcases when I have oil in my hair, which is often.

MileHighDiva...I apologize for just now seeing your questions. I do not personally know the owners, however I have emailed them and received responses w/o problems.
I see the other questions have been answered regarding length. :)

faithVA...the Black has to be washed first, in fact she includes an insert with special instructions regarding the Black SatinSakks. The ink will run otherwise. HTH. :)

Thanks for answering back. Yeah I've washed all of my other satin caps several times and they still run. So do my headbands :nono: I think I should just stick to a different color.

faithVA...I was told via email that they are in the process of developing a Charcoal shade that will not run, however I am not sure when this is to take place.
Here is the email I was sent when I asked about this...

I apologize for the bleeding of your Satin Sakk. We have tested so many black Satins that it led us to one conclusion. The dark indigo dye used to create the black color in satin will inevitably bleed if it comes in contact with oil or perspiration. We have not been able to find a black satin where this is not the case. This almost led us to the decision to not make our Satin Sakks in black, but the request for black was extremely overwhelming.

Some of our clients, because of their hair type or because they do not use a lot of product in their hair or perspire in their sleep, never experience bleeding with their black Satin Sakk...some do. For this reason, we include care instructions to pre-wash the Satin Sakk to alleviate this problem. We are considering switching to a charcoal color Satin Sakk that will still provide the dark color our clients are seeking but without the possibility of bleeding.

My suggestion to you is to soak your Satin Sakks in hot water for 15 minutes and wash them with detergent, rinse and dry. Please let me know if this helps and we will go from there. To answer your other question, our Satin Sakks are cut from a roll of 100% bridal satin, there is no other material used.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Warm Regards,

^^Thanks that was very helpful. I was getting that feeling, that it isn't possible to get black without the bleeding. I'm not in a rush, I will just wait for the charcoal if they decide to do it.

I ordered my Satinsakks on Saturday and received my Item today. Their processing and shipping time were pretty good, but their customer service is really not. It was hard to get a response to my questions and once I did it was laced with a attitude.

I'll use it and most likely love it, but I won't be repurchasing.

I ordered two Satin Sakks on Saturday, March 2nd. I ordered a black long and black short Satin Sakk. Today, I got excited when I received my package. Unfortunately, only the black long Satin Sakk was in the package, the short one was not, so I sent the vendor a message about the missing item via email and opened a dispute on Paypal.

I'll let you guys know how quickly this gets resolved. I requested that she ship the black short Satin Sakk immediately. If she doesn't not respond in a timely fashion, I'll request the other half of my money back.

I've never had an issue like this before! How much time should I give her to respond?

I'm P.O'd. Hopefully, it was just an oversight and she resolves it quickly.
