Girl, I did too...watched it three times laughing and feeling so bad for her. The look on her face...I know I would have cried. She's gotta have a sense of humor to post it though.

I don't know what brand of curling wand that was, but she has me scared to buy a Chi flatiron(they're known for getting reaaaaally hot) or even use direct heat anymore.

Was her hair too fine to use heat? Was it damaged? So many questions.

I don't know. It's been so long since I used heat, but it sure seemed like she had in way too long. Maybe I just can't remember what it was like to curl my hair. But it is a good warning to remind us how dangerous heat can be!

Right, I'm trying to figure out why it literally just burned off like that? It burned off as if it was synthetic hair; that's what has me puzzled. Perhaps she had the temp way too high for her texture. Goodness :nono:

What happened? For those who can't see vid
virtuenow, a YT girl trye to show a curling technique, after, ahhh Lol, curling first section of hair, after unraveling, the hair comes off with curler... It leave a darker burnt patch where pressing hair happened... Lawd forgive me... :lachen::lachen::lachen:

OMG!!
The first time I tried to use a pressing comb something similar happened. Let's just say I gave myself bangs.

Just wow! I wonder if that split end spray caused that to happen to her hair although her hair looks color treated and very fine.

Yes, she held that curling iron on that one spot for way too long. The heat was probably too high and with her having Caucasian hair and all, there was no need for her to hold the heat so long on the one spot. I feel so badly for her but OMG, I was rotf:lachen:.

I would never keep a curling iron in my hair for 20 seconds. Why? That was way too long (obviously) :nono:. I gasped then laughed. I've burnt hair off before with a pressing comb, but it burnt off immediately.

They tend to need more heat than us for the curl to hold, but that's why you spray it with holding spray right after! SMH

Anyway, I knew what was coming but that didnt stop my jaw from hitting the floor after I watched it.

I really hated to laugh but this happens to people a lot. I wonder what went wrong? I'm sure she's done it before without incident so it does have me scratching my head. She did nothing out of the ordinary. When these wands first came out, there were kiosks in the malls where women were giving demonstrations and they left it on about the same length of time. My guess is she had it up too high in addition to the color treated hair.

Wow, when I watched it earlier it only had a little over 6,000 views, now it's almost to 70,000. I saw in the comments some company offering her some hair products to repair her hair lol. I'm not sure I would want her to endorse my products:ohwell:
