Need help making my LFs more realistic

Alright so I bought a couple of LF's last week. To make them look more realistic I added placed the wigs behind my hairline, pulled out my edges a bit, and added concealer in my part. It looks okay, but I can still see the difference between my scalp and the wig. Underneath the wig, I'm wearing a black stocking cap. Would it help to wear a brown cap instead? Or is the just the wrong color concealer? Or is it as good as it gets? Am I bugging?

I did wear the long one out and my sister couldn't tell the difference, but it was at night. I want to be able to rock it during the day confidently.

Thanks ladies.

from the pictures, it looks great! If you want us to see the problem you may need to take a closer pic of the hairline, and you may need to take it with a better camera. But from what I see it looks great.

Here is another of the short one and the long one. I think you can really see in the short one what I see when I look in the mirror. I think the color difference and line of demarcation at the part shows a bit more in person.

I don't know, maybe my husband has me buggin'. I thought I did a great job and I go downstairs and show him and my mom. Mom loves it (but she's legally blind, so...) but DH was like it's okay and says maybe he's been tainted b/c at his old job (call center) all he saw was bad LFs so now he's kind of anti-LF in general and says he can spot them. He did say I did a better job than what he's used to seeing. Maybe I'm just being overly critical.

I think it looks good and you did all the major tricks, if you want to do more you can tweeze the hairline making it more jagged to resemble real hair.

These style look great on you!

Try using a lighter wig cap - the scalp is often lighter than face color. The makeup/concealer thing may get messy especially in hot weather.

Make sure the width of both partings (your real hair and the wig) match and align prefectly - meaning if your real part is wider ......then puck out a few hairs to widen the part of the wig.

Thanks. My friend picked out the wig. I walked in the BSS all confuzzled and surely would have came out the store with something completely diff and less flattering but she guided me in the right direction. I love the wigs, I just don't want it screaming LF.

I will get a lighter cap and adjust the part. The concealer is lighter than my skin and I wasn't sure if it was because of the cap underneath that makes it show darker. I was originally think I should get a brown cap, but should I go for more of a beige or tan cap?

I would pull the wig forward just a smidge I can see the line where the lace starts.. also did you put the concealer on your scalp as well ? Overall it looks great. Are LFs your protective style why do you pull so much hair out

At the bolded I don't have that problem ( I wear wigs everyday) the key is to use just alittle bit and apply it with an eyeshadow brush

Lighter caps work best or,
You use a lighter color nylon stocking on top of your black wig cap
I also use a concealer that matches my scalp as best as possible
I leave some hairs out in the front and try to slick it down to hide the lace
I remove hairs along the hairline to open it up to make it look a little more realistic

I have no advice, but I'm taking notes. The wigs look lovely, especially the short one. Good choices!
