I don't post on this board at all, just alot of lurking. In my quest to become natural I wanted to give my hair a break and I came across a pic of this style and I fell in love. I have learned alot form this board through my hair care journey both as a relaxed head and now transitioniong to natural.

I got the hair from fingercomber.com. I used some water and conditioner in a spray bottle bc the hair seemed kinda rough. I mosturized my hair with shea butter before starting and I put gel on the strays when I was finished. It took me about 2 hours once I got the hang of it.

Can someone explain to me what Havana twists are? They look really good on anyone it seems but I never see the big knot at the roots and the hair looks very natural and soft. So please someone explain the difference between traditional braids and these to me please! I might try it!!!!!

Have you been to the website?

@Fine4s Fingercomber.com. I believe havana twists are the name from the actual hair they sell on fingercomber. There are different methods to putting them in I just chose the easiest method for me.

love it!!!

i have never done a style using extensions or weave but if i did my first would be havana twist. i'm considering it.

I expect it to last at least five weeks then I'll probably take it down and do it again bc the hair is reusable.
