What is hot and what is not this month?

Hit:
Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Hair Cream (Such a hit. I can't believe it took me so long to get on board with this product.)

Revisited Hit:
Avocado oil (I stopped using it for a while. But, I'm glad I revisited.)

On the Fence:
Darcy's Botanicals Pumpkin Seed Moisturizing Conditioner (I'll have to use it more often. Otherwise, it's pretty much "meh" to me at the moment.)

No Misses Thankfully

HITS

Castor Oil I tried it for sealing a long time ago, and it left my hair greasy so I forgot about it. Picked it up again recently and mixed just a little w/ EVCO, and OMG! It has cured my dry winter blues! It's also done amazing things for my ends! It's made them really soft with lasting moisture. Woohoo! Castor hasn't been great subjected directly to cold air (it's a humectant), but I've been covering my hair out of the house anyway.

Rosewater: I just add a few sprays on dry hair & work it in. Wonderful softness, light moisture, and great smell!

HIT & MISS

DIY mud washes
: the first one I did was great. 2nd one, hair is slightly hard. I think I used too much aloe. I'm using Rhassoul clay, AVG, honey, water, rosewater, Lavendar & Rose EOs.

Mega Hit: I.C.O.N. Proshield Protein Treatment - theeee only protein treatment I've tried that is just as good or better than Aphogee 2 step. I like it more because there's no mess and it doesn't stink. Just apply and sit under the dryer w/out a plastic cap until hard...

FYI - Ingredients: Water, Polyquaternium 11, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Glycerin, Wheat Amino Acids, Hydrolyzed Silk, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Aminomethyl Propanol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Carbomer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Fragrance

Try it :poke:

Continued Hit:
Oyin Hair Dew
Hairveda Vatika Frosting
Naturelle Grow Slippery Elm DC
Tresemme Naturals Vibrantly Smoot

In the fence:
Naturelle Grow Soft N Silky

HIT: Camille Rose Moisture Milk :yep: I think that I have FINALLY found the moisturizer that I have been looking for. It smells sooooo good. It is rich, but not greasy, or heavy. I have only used it on damp hair, but that is how I plan to use it. It plays well with my CHI Keratin Mist (another HIT), and my castor oil mixture. I plan to hit up every sale that has this. I never want to be without it.

The following Shea Radiance products I've tried:

Hits:

Nourishing Repair Hair Treatment
Maxiumum Moisture Poo & condish

If the rest are as wonderful as the above, I'll be a happy camper :lachen:.

I've had the Trader Joe's Refresh Vit C conditioner for a couple of months. I was already in the shower and asked hubby just to hand me any type of conditioner and that's what he handed me. I was blown away at how awesome it was~. Wow, I really slept on that one.

I promise I'm not stalking you but you give awesome reviews and everything sounds soooo goood! Now I'm about to google ambrosia!

Miss: Blue Magic Cholesterol. It smelled HORRIBLE. Like vomit mixed with Starbursts. I used a little as a leave-in and had to get up in the middle of the night to rinse that mess out of my hair. I poured the remainder down the sink.

Revisited Hit: California Baby Unscented Lotion. I use this for both my hair and body. It keeps both moisturized and is only one of a few lotions that banishes my hand eczema. It's pricey, though, and worth it, but I'm considering making my own unscented leave-in...

Keracare naturals twist and define cream....this stuff is amazing!

This just ain't right charmtreese, I'm already a Keracare junkie and I was really trying not to try anything new, but..... I am hoping I can resist the urge to get this one, but I have a weird feeling I'm going to fail miserably:nono:.

Aggie, I'm turning into a bonafide keracare junkie. My natural hair can't get enough of it...have you tried keracare natural leave-in?

No I haven't @charmtreese. I have only used the original leave-in. Looks like I may have to order that one and see if I like it more.

Although... I really really like the original one a lot! I found that the natural line sizes are wayyyy too small for me.

I only like to order large bottles of everything except shampoos. I mostly order poos in small bottles since I don't shampoo too often.

Hit - Rollersetting for sleek, bouncy, shiny hair

Miss - Trying to recreate sleek, bouncy, shiny hair with a flat iron

I'ts only been since about October when I finally gave in and put my flatiron aside in exchange for rollersetting. Thought I'd never get the hang of it. Now that I do it often, any attempt at flatironed hair is a bust. I end up with crunchy, dull, frail, stiff, and lifeless every time.

I'm just done with it.
