I cannot wait until my hair grows back....I want to perfect my roller set...I love it!

Love it. I wish I could rollerset w/o going over my roots with the flat iron. Maybe I will try rolling upwards for added tension??

So is rolling upwards supposed to give more tension? Never quite understood why people did that? For volume perhaps?

sunnydaze you should try it, it may not get your roots completely smooth, but I find rolling that way gets your roots a lot sleeker :yep:

Fhrizzball I find it gets your roots smoother/flatter :yep:

I'm going to roller set my hair tomorrow morning, but I definitely won't be flat ironing afterwards. My roots always have texture when I don't flat iron, but I don't mind. Besides, my arms will have gotten enough of a workout from the roller set alone.

Try it without flat ironing and see how you like it. You may grow to like it, like me.

What is your regime prior to the roller set? Do you DC with lots of moisture overnight or stretch your hair?

Hmm...
I remember getting those wavy roots and feeling like I failed at rollersetting. In my mind, what was the point of straight hair if my roots were wavy. Interesting. I need to rethink my way of thinking. I like the way hers looks.

OAN: I don't think I've ever seen her hair look bad. She has gorgeous hair.

Before I roller set my hair, I deep condition, wash, condition and add a leave in to my hair. I don't deep condition my hair over night. A roller set will stretch my hair enough on it's own.

Her hair is gorgeous

I do my rollersets the same way. Only difference is that I straighten the roots with a flatiron, especially the front and where I part my hair.

I'm going to go broke watching her videos. I think I'm going to breakdown and replace my hooded dryer that died.

I've invested in an ebonnette and curlformers due to watching her videos.
I wish my hair was as dense and healthy as hers. I can change the health, but not the density/genetics.

Nice video. Here hair has texture at the roots but isn't poofy like mine is when I rollerset. I need to try doing it her way.
