Broke my wrist...

Sorry to hear that! I would get my hair braided so I wouldn't have to do anything until I healed.

Oh no:nono: I wish you a speedy recovery! I know from your yt vids you usually do twists in the winter and I am hoping if its already twisted maybe you can keep it that way an extra 2-3 weeks. Can someone twist it for you if its not? I know you are a DIY'er but you need a no fuss no manipulation style like mini-twists till you heal.:bighug: This is awful, cause no one really takes care of and babies our hair like we do on this forum.

:nono:Awww feel better soon empressri

How long will your wrist be out of commission? Maybe you could rock some braids or extensions in the mean time.

i dont even trust anyone to comb it :( it's in a twistout now cause i planned on washing it today.....

i think im going to be in a cast for months. and its soooo cold for cornrows.

thanks yall :)

Feel better, and wish you a speedy recovery. Sorry cant think of any hair advice that hasn't already been given. Good luck.

I remember you visited the Quidad Salon in one of your vids. Maybe you can allow them to care for it while your healing. Or you can save some dolla's and let your SO take care of it for ya :look:. I'm sure he don' learn a thing or two by now

Awe sorry wishing you a speedy recovery. Can you go to one of those beauty schools and have them wash and detangle and maybe twist it or bun it for you?

That's just typical. Sorry to hear about your wrist, I suppose your hair is one of many things you will have problems doing for the next couple of months.

Get well soon and I hope you find someone to do your hair :)

Sorry to hear of your injury - please get better soon and I do hope you find someone to help you with your hair.

Aww, i hope you heal up quickly. I would guilt a family member into washing my hair and doing some box braids. I think they last longer than twists.

I'm so sorry. That must be awful. I hear that being in a cast is super itchy too.

I'll do your hair. I can't braid but I can twist. I've been dying to play in your hair for years.

I'm so sorry, empressri!! If I was on the east coast, I would come to your place with my tools and twist you up! I hear you about having other people comb your hair though; I don't have family in my area (not that I would trust them with my hair anyway) and would be up ish creek if I couldn't do my hair. I hate box braids on me...

Can you do/do you like wigs?

Oh no...that sucks, I hope your not in to much pain, I broke mine before, it's not fun, try braids

So sorry to hear this. :bighug:

Weren't you in an accident not too long ago? I seemed to remember a similar situation from your older YT vids.

I wish you a speedy recovery :blowkiss:

Dang! I'm so sorry to hear that :(

I vote for braids by someone you trust or the ouidad salon. You gotta be careful so go with someone you know.

Feel better!

i hope you feel better. i understand about the hair. i am trying to figure that out for myself. i hope you can go back to that salon you like and they will take care of you.

Hope you feel better real soon..SPEEDY Recovery ....I know what you mean ,I dont trust too many people in my hair either...Keep us posted.

Happy Hair Growing!

Sorry Empress Ri.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Maybe there is a NY LHCFer that can help you out with detangling/twisting as a side gig until you recover. Or you might consider a "cough cough" short weave.
