I think this is great but ill still be buying from the KBB website and only when she has 25% off. I doubt target will do 25% off sales.

She been wanting to go mainstream for a long time now. I haven't used her products in years and I doubt I'll start using it again now that's it available in target.

Thanx for the heads up!!! I love her deep conditioner but when the store closed in Brooklyn, I refused to order online b/c I heard her turnaround time was too long. Looking forward to this!

Cool, something new to try. It's possible her pricing will get better. Besides Miss Jessies, all of the other products in Target have stabilized their prices over the past year and brought some of them down. Each time I go the hair product selection gets bigger and bigger.

I have not tried a lot KBB products because of the slow turnaround time and all the customer service complaints. I will definitely be more willing to try stuff if they are more easily accessible.

I 've been waiting for this! I was talking to Karen in october asking her about this. I have odd work hours so if I cant get to Sage I can go to Target.

I said I'd never use one of her products again cause the customer service was awful, but I guess if I don't have to order it...
I wonder if the ingredients will be as quality once the brand goes to Target?

i used to love her hair milk and now it think its called sweet ambrosia.....i would like to wish her well but the nasty attitude, poor customer service, and other sneaky manuevers make me not able to.

i might get it. i was a long time stan of karens but when she was doing all that changing stuff i had to stop. but i'm a pj.

i haven't had luck with target and their "available in select stores" stuff. and i would figure the stuff would be available more where i am because i live in nyc. but the nyc targets kind of stuck when it comes to finding products.

I love the Sweet Ambrosia & the Super Duper Hydrating Hair Cream is pretty good, too. I'd be heartbroken if she changed the ingredients on either one. Dang, am I gonna have to buy a lifetime supply of the originals?!?!

I think it is a good possibility the formula will change due to it now being massed marketed. In order to meet the demand and to be able to pay for the new cost of distribution, I would think ingredient changes are already in the works.

I want to try the sweet Ambrosia. Every time curl mart has a sale, the sweet ambrosia is always out of stock.

I doubt they will. If I'm not mistaken Miss Jessie's did the same thing. The ingredients got worse, but the price stayed the same.

Really?

That's pretty sad b/c the ingredients weren't amazing in the first place. But they always had a manufacturer for their products, so it seems less likely that they would've changed.

I might buy an item or two if they go on sale. I haven't had a KBB item in years after they started changing ingredients and moved to the black bottles and jars.

I wonder what scents Target will carry?

I used to use her Hair Milk years ago and even went to the store in Brooklyn a few times, but the KBB products were wayyyy too strongly scented. They were completely overpowering. :nono:

Good for her. I tried the milk but it didn't do a thing for my hair. Looooved the scent though - Egyptian musk. I'd layer it over my REAL leave-ins for the smell alone.

i love kbb prodaucts. but luckily i usually order from sage if im getting other things or i can get it locally from a bss that has a ton of natural products.

i will be getting her stuff from target when i comes but im willing to bet the ingredients will differ from her online ingredients.

I was thinkin the same thing about the ingredients!!! They might do the whole mass marketing thing and change the ingredients! Smh. I really hope not!

yeah i'm wondering what scent(s) she will have. i was pissed when she discontinued her jasmine lily fragrance at her store (to me that was one of the better scents that was light).

and according to an article i read on her facebook she said she would be keeping the ingredients the same. here is to hoping.

If the ingredients change in my holy grail, this post is to put KBB on notice, I get my petroleum from blue magic, and my palm/soybean oil from crisco. Any questions?

Miss Jessie's was begging folks to buy her overpriced pink oil this year. :nono:

Never tried them. They are available sometimes at a local natural store, but the prices are crazy. I may try them if the Target prices are better.

I never knew she had turnaround time issues. I lived near her old store and she was always stoked with stuff there so that is where I would buy. I was sad when the store closed down but then she told me it was to concentrate on the Target launch and I was happy. I haven't tried all her products, but her Hair Milk (no Sweet Ambrosia) was worth the money

I only use the KBB Sweet Ambrosia leave-in from her line in the summer/spring and the Moisture Mist whenever I have my hair in twist/braid extensions (2x a year), no need to try the deep conditioner because I'm convinced nothing will top my DB Pumpkin Seed Conditioner. I'll probably just stick to getting those items from Sage when I restock on other things.

BUMP....

Has anyone tried KBB directly out of Target? I am more specifically inquiring about the sweet ambrosia. Does it perform the same way?
