I'm talking strong like aphogee but natural ingredients. I have a sensitive scalp.
I don't want to experiment with food. :spinning:
GPB is not hard enough.

Iluvsmuhgrass Does egg (by itself) really strengthen your hair to the point that it is noticeable like using Aphogee? Or is it pretty mild? Also, do you have to mix it with anything to get a strengthening effect?

I couldn't use Aphogee. My hair HATED it... but it seemed to like the Nexxus Emergencee and Dudley DRC. I shied away from eggs because members here advised against it, but when I tried it... I got strong protein treatment results that (after using conditioner) left my hair soft and strong. It actually worked better for me than Aphogee ever did. I guess it really boils down to what your hair likes/dislikes.

EDTA: I didn't use heat. I just beat the egg, scooped in onto my hair with a plastic cap, left it in for about 15 min, and rinsed with warm (but not hot) water. I gently shampooed (I don't like the smell of eggs at all), conditioned, and kept it moving lol.

i just did a egg, honey, and mayo treatment and it saved my hair! i mean saved it! it stopped the breakage on the spot and my hair wasn't dry and hard. just make sure you rinse in lukewarm/cool water. i left it in my hair for 20 mins, shampooed with a hydrating poo, dc'ed and my hair feels so much better. aphogee caused me a major setback last year.

Another vote for Komaza care protein strengthener. My hair didn't like the Olive oil mask either but it loves the protein strengthener. I like the fact that it includes hydrolyzed protein (which is the perfect size to actually penetrate and be deposited into the hair shaft). Eggs are too big and amino acids are too small. The natural haven blog had an excellent article that explained it much better than I can.

shortdub78 so after you put the mixture on your hair, did you sit under a dryer? if so, for how long?

@ShyIntellect

Hey Ms. Shy!

Nah, but about 2 years ago I had a Curlmart Cart loaded with Spiral Solutions and several posters in U1B1 said(:nono:).

So I backed that purchase out and never really looked at that line after that.:perplexed

Lemme know what you think of the Line. I tend to listen to them PJ's over there.

No, I haven't tried the Spiral Solutions Protein treatment. Sorry.....

Claudie's is the strongest natural protein you can buy. I like HV methi second. SSI reconstructor or Mozeke carrot, great medium proteins.

I know the OP doesn't want to use food, but in the cherry lola is the strongest protein most effective protein out there.

I agree, though I only need the egg on for under 5 mins. It's hard protein. Can't get more natural and simpler than that. I don't add any other condish. Just the egg. A moisture DC after. Done

Seems like Komaza is winning.
Thanks ladies!!

ETA: Yall rememeber @gymfreak? I wish she was still on the boards. She's so good with breaking down ingredients & she knew her products.

ShyIntellect I haven't tried that yet either, sorry.

Just checked it out, it has lots of protein in it, the ingredients look good too although there's less ingredients in the komaza one. This may be a stronger protein judging by ingredients.
