I know Nupur Henna is safe for relaxed hair but the one I've seen and read about in here comes in a box. I've of my Indian co-workers brought me this....it has the same stuff on it as the one in the box. Is this safe to use?

I used to buy my henna in 1lb bags from my local indian shop, because my hair would laugh at those small boxes. Its the same just in a bigger package. Does it say 100% henna or something similar on the package?

Not necessarily bad. But it looks like its just different packaging. It should be fine to use.

I used Nupur many times but I've never seen it in a box before. The kind I usually get is like the one you've pictured.

Like hannan, I've never seen it in a box. I've been using the one you have pictured for 2 or 3 years and love it.

I use this brand (Nupur) and I love it! The additional herbs give my hair that extra umph. Try it, you'll love it too!

Yes you can. I keep it in overnight and follow it with an intense deep conditioning treatment. It makes the color more pronounced. My greys are completely covered afterward.

That's the brand I use (even though I haven't henna'd in a while). I got mine at a South Asian supermarket. Mine came in a foil package as well. It contains alma, doesn't it?

Love it!

It does. I plan on putting it on my hair tonight and sleeping in it. I'll just have to run out and get a good deep conditioner since I only have natural conditioners on hand. I'll either try the cantu deep conditioner or ORS.

I remember mixing mine with plain yogurt and leaving it in for 2 to 3 hours.
