i made a fresh batch of flaxseed gel, went to transfer it into a bottle and that dern gel glopped out and slipped down the drain!!!!!!!!!!!


ARGH!:censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:

i am so mad right now and i have a stove full of food so i don't have time to be making hair gel!

.......anyone else want to vent a similar mishap or hair frustration on the eve of thanksgiving?:sad:
 
Woo girl! I thought you were gonna come in here with a "crazy stylist" story! I was ready to turn off my collard greens and get in my ride or die mode for you! Sorry bout your flaxseed tho. Happy Thanksgiving!
 
OMG!!!! GIRL That is terrible...I know how you must feel, here goes my story....I bought the big a$$ jar of Ojon restorative treatment back in 2010 when it was still damn near $60 bucks, and it happened to be hot out so it was melted and as I was getting some out to apply it the whole container dropped on the floor and over 75% of that brand new jar was on my bathroom floor (I was already pissed about shelling out that much money) so I politely scooped it back in the jar and returned it to Sephora!. I dont feel guilty b/c they DON'T put returned products back out to sell. but whew I was mad!

i am sooooooooo not mad at you! i did that with a jar of like $17 vatika frosting from hairveda. same deal....it was hot out and product had melted. i almost gave birth to a cat i squealed so hard.:nono:

I have a stylist story, but it's not so bad.

I was visiting my father in Maine for Thanksgiving, and I really needed a hair cut So, on Friday, we went to a random salon in a mall. When I get in the chair the stylist says that he wants to shampoo, blowdry and re-flatiron before he cuts. I politely refuse, and explain that I don't like when other people straighten my hair. He then suggests that he washes it and cuts it wet. :nono: He asked me why not, and I said that curly hair should never be cut wet. He gives me a funny look and says "You don't have a relaxer? Then how do you get it like that?" :ohwell:

It was really good cut though, despite the ignorance. :look:

I always get that Mad if I order something and:

a) half of it is spilled out in the Box
b) they send the wrong durn thing
c) have to argue with a vendor over shipping times, poor quality or the above issues.

I know the feeling, last week my mother threw out a whole batch of my homemade DC. i dont think she realized how long it took me to make that!! I was so mad so i know the feeling. People dont understand how making these things are a pain.
 
I went to PR this year and TSA threw out a new container of my Shea butter. Never had a problem before and I really wanted to make a scene but I had to make my flight. There were two naturals working that day and were eyeballing me as I went through the line. They most likely took it for themselves. I was livid and every time I think about it, I still get mad...I mean it wasn't even a liquid and it was under 4oz in a sealed container!

I've since calmed down but when I did my first henna, I loved it so much I did it again 2 weeks in a row only to find out later that using henna over henna turns your hair a plum color. Not a happy camper!!! I liked the red tint better than the plum tint but hey.........you live and learn. Now I only do my roots!
 
I am sorry about your gel, but I have to admit that i couldn't stop laughing. Sounds like a scene from done funny movie. When I picture you trying to grab that gel too, I laughed so hard my coworkers had to laugh with me.
 
Right on time!! I recently ordered some Aphogee hardcore treatment (actually on here!!)...went to the post office to pick it up as they called... (mind you they NEVER call). The REAL reason they called was because the entire contents had spilled and it HARDENED to the shelf and they wanted to verify what the contents were (I had only experienced it being sticky...I guess I never dumped a bottle of it out before!).

The concern on the faces of the postmaster general made me calm down.

I'm sorry but that story is hilarious!! I laughed so hard my dog started barking. I'm just picturing that Aphogee hardening on the counter and the postal workers backing away slowly....
 
The latest thing that made me mad was finding my holy grail product. Yes thats right. After all these years of concoctions and spending major money on products that I use one time and then shelve like knick knacks to collect dust I find my holy grail and its $8. Ive been looking at my product display (I have them all on a 45 shelf bookcase) and wanting to set the whole thing on fire.
