Benefits of grape seed oil

I finally purchased a bottle of grapeseed oil recently, having heard about it on hear a number of times. I love it already. It is indeed very light and absorbs extremely well. It might already be my favorite oil.

I've been using it on my scalp and on the length of my hair, concentrating on the ends. It smoothes my hair down and appears to provide great shine. Maybe even better shine than coconut oil (not sure yet if the shine is from the oil or a new deep conditioner I've been using).

it moisturizes your body as well and is great for people who want to use it as a heat protect as well.:yep:

Bump, so I brought a bottle trying to be like realsistawithhair on youtube... I cannot use this as a moisturizer as I find it too heavy and not natural... so rediscovering ways to use up the bottle brought...

I just purchased a bottle from Marshall's, I also got Sesame Seed Oil, Walnut Oil and Olive Oil.

What do you mean not natural?

Grapeseed oil is one of the lightest oils. The only other oils I know to be lighter are sunflower oil and maybe argan oil. Maybe oils are just not for you.

It's also a good protectant for flatironing because it has a high smoke point of 420 degrees -- will protect hair as long as iron heat is below 420-421...

@faithVA, not natural as in I am texlax so my hair cannot absorb that much oil where as if I was natural it would...

The challenge I tried was the 30 day no wash, I actually shortened it 21 days... and the amount of oil was no bueno...

I do plan to still use oil but needed more uses, as again daily moisture will not be it.

Maybe I just need to wash more often, Lol...

BTW here is the channel of person's hair I adore...

I do love Moroccan oil which I think is argan oil based...

Learning process, different things work for different people... :ohwell:

I love her channel to. I like how she keeps it real even though some of her hair practices are what we would call non traditional. I to find it impossible to wash more then 1once every 1-2 weeks and my hair is short right now. I'm looking to buy grapeseed oil soon there seems to be so many benefits.
