Thanks! I will tune in.
I peeped the Katie show's hair episode recently. It was pretty good.

Whimsy! Hey girly..big congrat's on your adorable baby and you look GREAT! Love the hair as always. :) This show was good! I'll have to find the epi of Katie's show online.

I didn't know she had a new show! I will have to find it online though - at work today.
Thanks for sharing.

DAMN ITTTTTTTT, it comes on right when I'm leaving the house.... damn this house for not having a DVR

Watching show right now. All I can say is Ricki needs a bigger budget.

Wow my mind is still on Ricki Lake having a show again. I wonder if it will be anything like the original.

I had no idea Ricki Lake was back on either until I saw today's episode :look: I'm kinda sad that it's more toned down though.

Chaz Dean kept mentioning that we should always use the nozzle attachment for the blow dryer as this will prevent the hair from coming too close to the heating element and drying out. Do you ladies agree with him?

Other RTs:

-I loved the natural's hair...absolutely stunning! :luv:

-I thought it was hilarious how chaz dean was scolding that asian girl for using the blowdryer and flat iron too much. He kept calling her hair "thin, wispy, lifeless, dull, flat". And her face throughout the entire thing was priceless :lachen:

-I hated the weave they put on the black girl :nono:

-I died when they tried to recreate this scene at the end of the show:

Yes I was pleasantly surprised when I read Ricki had returned to daytime talk. This was my 1st time watching the "new" show. I like it so far.

I also hated the weave Kim Kimble did.......I expected so much better from her! However, I LOVED the natural curly style she did on the other audience member.

I actually wanted to hear more tips from Chaz Dean. I also would like to see him style more afro-curly textures.

bosswitch Did he mean a concentrator nozzle or a pik attachment. I think the opposite happens with a concentrator. I curious about the pik though because I'm thinking of ordering the Willie Marrow attachment.

He meant the concentrator nozzle. I was really shocked by this but I did a little test with my thermometer and, sure enough, with there was a big temperature difference (~20deg) from the element to the end of the pic and concentrator attachments.

I love that you conducted your own experiment on this.

Good to know...i wouldn't have expected that to be true.

Thanks for getting back to me. :) I appreciate that info. I really wasn't buying it but from your experiment I see the logic behind it. I always use the attachment that comes with my dryer and it's good to know that's a good thing.
