When deep conditioning with oil

Oil on damp hair, then the deep conditioner.

I tried it like this yesterday (out of laziness) when I was DC'ing before a poo, and I have to say that I liked the results very much. I could still feel the effects of the DC after rinsing, after washing with poo, and even after using protein. Thumbs up.

Usually however I mix the oils and DC together then apply.

I think this is called oil rinses. There's a very good thread on this...I think it's called "don't sleep on oil rinses". Good info there from a lot of ladies who have had success with this method.

Hmm, I always add the conditioner, then the oil. I'll have to try it the other way.

Me too, because I was waiting on Yal to answer and just did the conditioner then oil. I thought oil last because if you put the oil on I thought it would block the conditioner from penetrating

I always layer products and I usually put oil last (on top). Sometimes I mix oil with agave syrup.

I mix 3 oils into my DC, then I apply. (evco, evoo, and jojoba). I always use the same 3. The results are fantastic!!

after poo, add DC then oil on top (best ones for me are grapeseed and coconut) best DC's I've ever had. I've tried it the opposite way and its ok, it was coconut oil so I don't know how it would go with an oil that doesn't penetrate the hair shaft.

I do this and an oil rinse every time I wash. Steps: (1) evco on pre-poo soaked/or water soaked hair, (2) slather on DC, (3) rinse, then oil rinse (castor oil). Uber moisturizing. I've tried it the other way around, and every way imaginable, but this is the only order that works for me! Try to find your perfect order.

Oil on dry hair overnight or several hours.
Apply conditioner at least one hour before washing hair (if using heavy oil (e.g. castor, mustard).

I will try the oil first and then the conditioner next time and even try mixing it thanks ladies and see what works best for me
