I've realized just HOW much my hair has changed since before I found LHCF. And I dont just mean length-wise. Its like I took somebody else's hair and put it on top of my head. Sometimes its hard to see the progress your making when you are looking at only length. But many of us have came such a far way regardless of the length they have now. So I'm asking everybody if they could post a picture of their hair before their HHJ and now.

I'll start.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn OP. You pull off the natural look alot better. I like the retro hairstyle too.

Wow, now that's some progress! Pretty hair.

You got a regimen to share? :look:

Nobody's ever asked me what my reggie was before. So I'm kind of caught off guard. I think my reggie is simple. And I now have certain products as well.

-Shampoo when I feel like I need it with sulfate free shampoo (rare)
-I don't co-wash. I do aloe vera rinses 2-3x a week which help detangle as well.
-I use Giovonni Deeper Moisture Conditioner as a leave-in and I smooth that down my hair to help with keeping my hair detangled.
-I then seal with castor oil
-Then I use flaxseed gel as my styler
-At night I either pineapple my hair or put it into four braids and fluff in the morning. May spritz with aloe vera to refresh and add moisture.

Thats really it. No DC, No steaming, not even doing any growth aids. I love my reggie. Its as simple as it gets. Well at least for me because I use to do SO much. And now my reggie is also 100% organic.

KurlyNinja what is an aloe vera rinse?

And i love your hair, that is a big change. It's beautiful too. I love the retro hair style on you (and in general, It's too cute.)

I've also made the change from relaxed to curly. :)

I don't know why no one's asked yet because your curls are something serious! They look so moisturized, so I had to know what you were doing  I used to use aloe vera as a spritz, but I can't remember if it did much for me. Does it add shine and make your hair smooth or anything? I'm gonna try adding castor oil back into my reggie to retain moisture. Thanks for sharing!

Side note:
I just realized that I really need to take some new hair pics and update my fotki (esp. an updated straight hair pic - that one is from July 2011).

Its just something I kind of stumbled into doing one day. My hair use to get REALLY bad psoriasis of the scalp when I was relaxed. I wouldn't even call them flakes. It was like chunks of skin coming off. Yes, gross, I know. :ohwell: So I stopped relaxing and that problem went away 90%. But I would still sometimes get flare ups. I started taking a half cup of Liquid Aloe Vera:

and just pouring it on my scalp after I co-washed. My scalp never felt SO good! No joke. But I soon started to realize it was doing something for my hair as well. It was stronger, shinier and darker (Go figure). So I just kept with it. Its a great detangler. And adds moisture. I don't even co-wash anymore. I just do aloe rinses. And then use DCs as my leave-ins. I've never heard of anybody doing this before. I just stumbled upon my reggie and its been working great!

I love your hair KurlyNinja. I'm going to try the aloe vera rinse after my co-wash tomorrow, I have some in the fridge . Just by looking at your pic in your siggy I can tell that your hair is soft.

I would, but I'm not ready to showcase my transformation just yet! I wanna wait until there's a drastic change in length.

This was in 2007 before I started putting my hair in braids, which was accidently the healthiest thing I ever did to my hair. I think im half natural and half relaxed in this one, and Id done a terrible job of straightening it out with a flat iron (with no protection. *cringes*). It was also heavily coated and slicked with products.
Sorry I dont have a better picture. Oh, and thats my aunts wedding dress. I was 13 in this picture.
