have you ever tried using magnetic rollers (plastic with clips)? those work best to get a smooth roller set. satin sponge rollers can be used to maintain the finished set. also your pattern plays a part in it too. you can use the traditional method(mohawk) or something else. oh and how you roll the hair get determine if you want volume or not.

what products did you use? did you do it on wet or dry hair? how long did you leave the rollers in?

my hair was dry and i used doo gro and mane n tail. Im starting to think mane n tail isnt for my hair because it makes my hair very thick and rough. I slept with them in but when i took them i sprayed my hair with oil sheen. all i have to go on when it comes to pattern is how my hair is cut long to short so the bigger curls are at the top and the smaller ones at the bottom. my nape is gelled down because i wouldnt get rollers in back there.

It's ok, most of us who rollerset didn't have a good first rollerset, practice makes perfect!

My hair hates mane n tail too! Find a good leave in that your hair responds well to. You also would probably get better results to set it on magnetic rollers on soaking wet hair with leave in and setting lotion. Do you want a curly look or a wrap look? Sponge rollers are the devil unless they are covered in satin. They will soak up all the moisture from your hair ;0)

sadly i washed it out because of the mane n tail :crying3:. my hair was a nappy mess. I think next weekend ill try it again if i have no where to go lol.
