I have a problem with keeping my hands out of my hair..

I made a horrible decsion to dye my hair..now it's breaking and its dry as hell:nono:

I decided to keep my hair braided up in order to keep my hands (and scissors) out of it.

How do I moisturize my braids without having to take them down?

I really don't want to cut my hair off again so I figured i'd leave it braided up to avoid any more breakage/issues.

Please help!

I like African Royal braid spray, Aveeno Nourish Leave in Treatment and good old water and glycerine as spray moisturizers for braids. Hth

It's just my hair cornrowed into 4 braids. I'm in Germany so I can't find all the fancy stuff you guys mentioned above. ugh...plus it takes like a month for anything to get out here to me..

^ In that case the simplest thing you could do is mix water and oil together in a spray bottle, shake it up and spray the mixture onto your cornrows nightly.

I spray mine with a cheapie conditioner mixed with evoo & water when its really dry or rinse and apply conditioner on top, although that may make it frizzy.

I'll try that as well. I'm desperate right now.

I don't mind the fuzziness since I wear my hair braided up under a wig

I concur with a cheapie moisturizing condish mixed with water and don't forget to seal with a light oil such as coconut. grapeseed, evoo etc. Also at night you can do the GHE with a plastic cap, that will def keep your moisture in. If you are still having probs maintaining moisture you may want to clarify then start the moisture reggie again. Good luck.
