I bought some hair from Halley's Curls 2 weeks ago. I've had good experience with them last go round so I purchased again. When I first washed them, they were beautiful and soft. I washed them just recently, but I'm so confused. They are freshly washed, I did what I always do, but immediately after washing they look and feel greasy/oily like I've had them for months. I air dried, they look oily. I blow dry, they still look oily. This is a problem because they dont blend well at all and tangle when they look like this. Just last week they were perfect so how do I fix this? :(

When you mean wash, do you mean shampoo? Or you just rinsed your hair? Is it synthetic or human hair? The oils from your hair may have trailed into your extensions. I had this problem before with synthetic extensions. I usually rub it out gently with a 99 cent bath towel since cotton absorbs oil onto the cloth.

DrC this is human remy hair that I have washed with shampoo and conditioner.

I don't know if it was here, or BHM I saw this at, but I've about members putting a bit of baby powder in the hair since it absorbs oil. I never tried it before, but maybe you should try that and test it on a small section of the hair. It wouldn't hurt to try.

update:

I tried the baby powder thing and it didn't work. But I still ended up figuring out what the problem was. When I washed them a couple of days ago, I used some leftover ORS moisturizing conditioner on them. While it works well for my own hair, it's too much I think for the extensions. Even after I washed and conditioned them a second time (without ORS) they still felt a little greasy, just left greasy. So I shampooed them a third time without conditioning, making sure I used a shampoo with sulfates because I actually needed to strip the hair of the excess, and this time I got everything off and they feel normal. Next time I can condition them with the conditioner I usually use and they should be fine.
