Ok so whenever I get close to WL I end up cutting back to BSL because of thin ends. See examples below. I cut to BSL after all these pictures. My hair in the middle apparently grows faster than the sides.

I was gearing up for a cut because the past few months the ends were looking thin even airdried. Well today when I checked it seems like they are finally catching up! I'm glad I didn't cut like I usually do. I was tasting WL in all these pics. I stop using heat pretty much and so I don't have any splits. Im going to just let it grow. I will make WHIP Length this year!

Can't see the pics because I'm at work but I'll be sure to come back and check....how long did it take to catch up?

Thank you for this post! I am at MBL and I had a trim last month because I felt the same. I'm going to wait next time. I was impatient because I have never noticed this difference in my ends before: maybe when it gest longer the difference in growing gets more evident or something, considering that I don't see any breakage disasters when I wash it.

This sounds like Chicoro's theory that your hair will catch up to the longest strands. I don't know how it works but it seems to work!

Your hair looks great!

I'm learning that the biggest secret to this hair growing game is having the patience to wait until it finally grows out to the length you want. Thanks for the lesson sis.

I first noticed it in Septemeber. I got a small trim and the results are in my siggy. Within a month it seems it was uneven again. No breakage. I didn't wear my hair straight much because it looked awkward. It's just now catching up. Even in my siggy you can see the hair isn't blunt are even. I like the v or u shape. Braidouts, buns, and flexisets got me through. It's thickening up and balancing out.

Beautiful!

I had the same problem, but I just cut about 2 inches the other day. Patience wasn't helping my hair.
