So I've been baggying/GHE for awhile now, first heard about it, where else, here. Decided to Google it and Meeka Jael and her Real Queens popped up, and that's pretty much all that popped up. Did she literally invent it? Seems like it must have been around longer than that? Hope someone has the answer. Thanks and God bless!

I could have sworn an old poster named adrienne914 or something like that invented it. Maybe it was changed up by others....tweaked, etc. But the original idea of baggying period...

if not who I mentioned, it was definitely someone on here from yeaaaars ago.

No. She just gave bagging a fancy name, like instead of buying bottled water you buy Dasani.

 Oh, okay!

Yes, if I remember correctly, it was Adrienne or Leejure from back in the day that kind of came up with the baggy method. I could be mistaken, because that was a while back.

Feelin oh so silky smooth!! Sorry, I had to. Who ever came up with it deserves an award. I am not a consistent baggy girl but when my hair needs some extra moisture that plasitc bag always comes thru.

Thanks all! I was just wondering because the website and videos of her and her husband (I think it's her hubby?) make it seem like they invented it. I'm actually working on a little hair book project (yay!) and this is one of the methods I use. I started to write that this method had been around for a long time and no one really knew who invented it, and then I decided to Google it just in case and came across all the Real Queens stuff. Now I know I can just stick to the been around a long time stuff. Thanks ladies!

Adrienne started to do it under her drawstring ponytails circa 03/04. She would do some type of water, moisturizer like scurl, seal with Vaseline and baggy the ponytail. Then she would place a drawstring on top. She would take it Down ( unwrap the baggy and let bun or ponytail hair out) at night to let it air dry.

I used this method and it was fabulous. I retained a lot of hair with rhis method before I BC'ed and went natural again. I used natures blessing pomade instead of the vaseline.

I first heard about baggying ends on the old defunct black hair growth board, from a poster who had natural 3ab waistlength hair and she said one of the things she did was baggying ends of her hair, way before adrienne started baggying but baggying ends is such a unique ides.

YESS! That was it. I now remember doing it to my daughter's hair for a few months and her end flourished. I didnt use a draw string ponlytail though, I just bunned it all under a stocking and scrungie.
