What Should I Do? (No I Ain't Going To The Hair Board LOL)

So I wanna get my hair colored tomorrow and the place that I started going to is mad expensive like they do everything a la carte.

So I was thinking about going to my old place to get it colored and not letting them dry my hair. I can just put a cap on and go to the other place once they rinse it out and wait however long for the other place to do my hair.

Now, in writing this out, it may be a good idea just to let the cheaper place dry my hair but I don't like letting them dry my hair and also the part that makes it really sad is the person who normally does my hair will probably be getting ready to style my hair for me and I'll be leaving out the door.

What are your suggestions?

Thanks!

And your post was confusing! I had to read it twice. I think you should just stay at one place. You would be doing too much leaving with a cap and going to the other place? How much more expensive is one to the other?

I just tried fixing it a little . It's the difference between paying $35 and $85. For color alone not even getting into styling.

Why won't you go to the hair forum?

It's a little :drunk: over there sometimes. I remember I asked a question about crazy prices before and it seemed like everyone was a stylist. This paying $65 just for someone to apply color and an extra $20 for them putting it on long hair is cray I need more clients up in here in this thread :perplexed:

So the expensive salon is just going to blow dry your hair? If its like that I say don't trouble yourself and stay with the cheap salon.

I wanna get a style though and I think that's like $50-$65. I never let them style my hair before but I want to do something different this time.

I have a lot of split ends and I'm not sure if I want the other place to blow dry my hair since it's a dominican spot.

I'd be surprised if the expensive salon just lets you sit in the chair without shampooing/drying anyway. If you really don't want to pay their prices for color, I'd just show up with wet hair, in a bun or something.

Why don't you want to put this on the hair board? I would just go to the cheap salon and get a rollerset.

I just put the reason in my first response. I hate when they comb my hair out for the roller set. I'm not joking it can take about 40 minutes just for them to put in the rollers. Meanwhile I'm looking at all my hair on the floor :nono: however if I let them blow it out it will cost about $25 more and I don't want them to blow my hair out not because of the money but I have a ton of split ends and my edges are sensitive.

I would let them shampoo and dry my hair. I'd have to let them know I just colored it so they can put on gloves are something.

So I ended it up paying $80 for a rinse and I didn't get my hair styled  this is what I'm talking about :drunk:

Just go to the cheap salon and get everything done. If you don't like the way they comb your hair then bring your own hair implements and explain to them how you want it combed so they do it correctly. If you don't feel like the drama then pay the extra and have everything done at the expensive salon. I think going to two different salons will only add to the confusion. Conversely, you could always find a third salon that would be more adept at doing everything you want done at a price point that you are more comfortable with. Whatever you decide, good luck to you and happy coloring.
