Hi everyone! I'm 2 months natural and I have been using the miss Jessie's line. I have the non sulfate shampoo and the regular conditioner. Then I use the baby buttercream and the curly buttercream. Anyone else use this line? And if so what do u think about it for a twa and possible long term use?

Long term I would shy away from Miss Jessie's for 2 reasons: 1) price 2) ingredients

Miss Jessie's has cones and mineral oil and I don't like those ingredients for my hair ESPECIALLY for that price.

It will make your hair appear cute though, short term.

Thanks! I agree I just wanted to try it and when I'm finished using the products most likely I will not purchase all the products I have now.

Those products did nothing for my hair. I'm glad I bought them at Target when they accepted returns of beauty products. I would have hated if I had to eat that cost.

OP you should venture to brands that are less commercial. I recommend BASK Beauty, Pura Body Naturals, and Qhemet Biologics (though Qhem is closed right now).

BASK - Cacao Bark Deep Treat or Y.A.M. Conditioner
Pura Body Naturals - Murumuru Moisture Milk
Qhemet Biologics - Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee

Those are just a few products that I find the most moisturizing.

I've only dabbled in Miss Jessie's so I'm no expert by any means, but since their products contain shea butter, I can't use them. None of their products worked on my hair, but that said, I think there are a lot of less expensive options that may yield even better results. It's all trial and error, even if I tell you what works great for me. You'll have to just experiment and find out what products and styling methods make your hair thrive. If MJ's is working for you and you're happy with it, there's no reason to stop using them (unless price is an issue). But definitely don't feel like they are the end-all be-all of curly hair care. Good luck! HHG!

I started with the value pack of products then purchased full sized items of the products I like. I really love their Supersweet back treatment deep conditioner (it makes my hair so soft and it smells nice) I will always repurchase this one. I did love the curly meringue which is why I have 3 jars of it, but I've noticed that it makes my scalp itch. I may be allergic to something in it, so once I use it all up I will not repurchase it again. I think MJ is a great starter line for going natural until you discover other product lines. My favorite product lines now are Curl Junkie, Oyin, Jane Carter and Jessicurls' deep conditioner.

I couldn't get pass the first use. I rinsed that stuff out with the quickness. That stuff is horrible. There much better products that are a lot cheaper.

It crazy I just found some a friend bought me the curly pudding ( purple) and the silkner...didnt like the silkier for my hair only used it a few times and the pudding was iight....had to mid it with something then and I used some of both tonight just to get rid of them but I'll continue to use them occasional to get rid of them...not constantly. They didn't umph my kinky 4b in its natural state...so I'm trying it in a semi stretched state....jurry still out

BUT!!
I forever love their sweet back treatment....its one of the few deep conditioners I've used constantly for two plus years...BUT I have racked up during their black friday sale and buy maybe 4 and get 4 free...
