I tried this line for the first time today...and I have to admit, I really like it.

I used the pre-poo oil, let that sit on my hair for about 30 minutes...when I rinsed it out my hair was so soft, it was amazing. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was you're supposed to saturate your hair with it...so in my mind, you end up using alot.
The shampoo and conditioner left my hair so soft and hydrated...that moisture was just what my dry stressed out hair needed.
I even blowdried and flatironed it afterwards (I know, BAD!!!) and my hair was like silk. My face was like .
And the smell...there's a very nutty, earthy fragrance in all the products...not unpleasant, just potent. It grows on you.

Has anyone else gotten these results, or was this just some sort of a fluke?

This white girl at my job uses it. Said that she used to use an entire sample pack on her hair (she's got WL hair), but now she only uses like a quarter sized amount. It seems like your hair gets used to the product and requires less of it. She sleeps with the pre-poo oil on her hair then washes it out in the morning.

I use the Ojon Revitalizing Mist... it's the best leave-in I've ever used. I'm not concerned with the rest of the line, I'm sure it's great, but I'm on a budget.

So you use the mist after you shampoo, or are you supposed to spray it on everyday? Does it have the same smell, is it greasy? (yep, I have some questions!)

And your right...the price is a bit steep...I got mine as samples from a friend who works at Sephora. But I finally have some money to spend on haircare products, so I'm ready to splurge! ;)

I am interested in the pre poo oil, I went on the site but it is not listed. What is the exact name of it??:)

It's called the Restorative Hair Treatment...it's a solid oil you rub in your hands to melt then put it on your hair.
I put some on my scalp this morning(hadn't oiled it since the wash)...my hair smells so GOOD, I love it.

I like to use this on my hair when for pre shampoo treatment and also to flat iron my hair. My hair is fine so I can't use heavy oils or hair dressing when I flat iron or press my hair.

I've been wanting to try this line for the longest. they had a "Try Me" pack on QVC for under 30 bucks with 5 products in it and I didn't jump on it fast enough!

I'm scared to try this and love it. My pockets can't afford this right now. "I guess I'll see you next lifetime..."

I use it and I love it. I ordered off QVC. I almost have the full line. The smell bothers some but I dont mind it at all. I feel in love after my first use.

I feel the same way...and it's so funny, people have been sniffing me, asking me what I'm wearing, they like the smell.
One guy even told me my hair looked really shiny and pretty today.
This stuff may be a keeper.

i did try the hair oil and just used it as a grease so to speak...it was ok...i may or may not try it again...

your review will make me consider trying the other products in the line.

and no it is not black owned. the man seems to be european or white with a latino or brazilian wife...

I feel the same way. It being a keeper. Other than the price tag, I have nothing bad to say about it. (I hope they go down a lil.)

I raced out and brought the restorative treatment complete with pre-poo mask, poo and conditioner. Looking for a miracle. Now it all just sits in my bathroom.

I was pissed enough to take it back to Nordstrom's but I sucked it up as a loss. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Trust me. It ain't worth it

I use it right after I shampoo my hair and my hair feels silkier immediately. It's not greasy or too heavy, I'm heavy handed w/ products so you can trust me on this one :) . It can be used on wet or dry hair, but I like to use it on wet hair. I tried using it everyday and although my hair was soft the first few days, it caused build up after awhile and I only like to wash my hair once a week. It has that same perfume-y smell, but I think it's drowned out by my Aveda, lol.

I tried the shampoo and conditioner from my mother's stash. I like the shampoo, but the conditioner wasn't all that to me. I'm natural and I need a good detangling conditioner. It's wasn't the worst, but it's not something I would buy. The treatment is nice and I did like the smell initially but after a while it got me a little light headed. Some ppl (like my mom and her firends) swaer by it, but everyone's hair is a little different. I would find someone who has samples before I would invest in the products.

Hey Girls,

I actually tried the line and really liked it at first. I started w/the Restorative Treatment only, but for pooing/conditioning, I still used my beloved MNT. I eventually tried the rest of the line after lots of research, so that I could see how I liked all of the products on their own.

Since my hair's pretty strong from using MNT due to protein, the added moisture of this line felt wonderful to my hair. Instant softness/shine. After having using nothing other than MNT for so long, it could have been just the effects of using something new and my hair responded well. I used the entire line for about a month, and got lots of compliments - I really liked it. Eventually I stopped though, as I started to get a few broken strands, which had not happened in a while - probably just missed the protein from MNT. I tried to find a way to incorporate into my MNT regimen, but I'm pretty loyal and just like a simple regimen that I can stick to so I couldn't do both. Either way, I think it's a great line, and probably would have been just fine using regularly and just incorporating a protein treatment every now and then. Here is my review of each product:

Restorative treatment: Started with a sample of this, then bought it. I used it for about a month in conjunction w/my MNT products - seemed to leave my hair very silky/soft. Smells like coffee/burnt almond concoction. I would put it in my hair overnight w/a plastic cap (I think I used too much) then washed in the AM about 1ce per week. I don't think my DH liked the smell of this one b/c he kept asking me if I smelled smoke or if something was burning :)

Hydrating Poo - Loved the smell, gentle enough to use everday but I used it a few times during the month I tested this stuff

Hydrating Cond - Loved it, loved it! Great smell/consistency. Left my hair super soft, w/no leave-in cond or detangler needed after

Revitalizing Mist - Very lightweight, awesome smell. It leaves no residue on your hair, and helps it dry with a nice sheen. Since I airdry my hair, I loved the way it made it look after airdrying - very soft, shiny, and hydrated (no stiffness at all)

Hydrating Styling Creme - I liked the way this stuff felt after first putting it in. It made my hair feel really strong at first after airdrying, but this was the last product I tried since I liked everything else. I only used about 3/4 times, but I noticed that it made my hair look really shiny while it was airdrying, but once it was completely dry, it seemed to leave my hair a bit hard. When I combed out, this is around the time I noticed a few broken strands. I believe this was the culprit, because I never noticed breakage with the other products. I just stopped using the entire line after this happened, but I probably would have been OK skipping this step and continued to have great results.

Ojon Oil - Nice smell/product, but I don't think it's worth teh $30 for such a small amount. I don't really use oil much anymore, and there are others that work just fine when I need it (jojoba/olive)

Oh - they also have a clarifying poo that I used b/c I seemed to get a little build-up overtime. It was OK - first time I ever tried one of these.

Overall, I would give this line a . I still have a lot left that I'll finish up at some point, but for now I've been back to my simple MNT regimen. Whenever I use it, I'll skip the styling creme. I don't mind paying a lot for products that give me great results, but for first - timers, I'd suggest buying the Try Me kit at Sephora or QVC and use it for a month and see how your hair responds before buying entire line. That way you'll know for sure how your hair will like it overtime!

Regards,

SG

I just bought a couple of samples of the Restorative Treatment from Ebay for under $13.00. I hope they will be enough for me to use for a month, and if I like them, I plan on getting a jar from Sephora (I think it's a 1.5 oz size) for $21.00.

I used the restorative treatment, shampoo and conditioner.
I applied the restorative treatment and put on a shower cap, I slept with that and washed it out the following afternoon. I was going to wash it out in the morning but when I took the cap off my her felt so soft and moisturized I did not want to wash it out then.
I like the smell, it reminds me of incense with a hint of chocolate:p

I thought I could try some red palm oil to see if I would get the same results:(
The palm oil leaked out of the cap and I it got all over my pajamas, sheets and pillowcases (my pillow was soaked and orange). I had to put my pillows in the washer. Maybe I used too much palm oil, but from now on I will use the Ojon for an overnite treatment.
