Biting split ends

This is something I do from time to time when I see a split end... I bite it off with my front teeth. Is this bad for the strand?

Don't do that I keep a special pair of cuticle scissors with me. So when I find a split end or a SSK, I can just clip it and KIM. Those scissors are just for that purpose. You can get a pair from the $ store.

YESSSS! STOP IT!!! i agree with cutenss keep cuticle or hair scissors on ya for this purpose. the split end doesn't go away cause you bit it off....now the hair is broken off like breakage and may split more up the hair shaft as it grows.

Stop that right now! LOL!! I agree with another poster about keeping a pair of shears with you at all times. I do the same thing. I have one in my purse, one at my mom's house and one at home.

LOL you ladies had me cracking up! I will try to stop its just so irritating to see one... It's like I need it out of my sight RIGHT AWAY lol ! But the shears are a good suggestion I'll have to pick some up.

Just wondering if teeth are sharp enough to cut it without causing more breakage.... hmmmm

Unless you have teeth like jaws (razor sharp) please stop. I think biting would make it worse.

I like the idea of carrying around scissors but now that I am looking at this moon phase phenomena, I dont want to put a scissor to my head until the right time no matter what I would see.

OP I have nothing to add, but you cracked me up with that one lol!!! I do not bite, but I pull those things out when I see them...do not feel like getting shears to cut 1 hair lol.

umm i've done this....
usually when i'm not home and fooling around in my hair, i do that because i know i won't be able to find it later on.
guess i need to pick up some cuticle scissors to keep in my purse
