Hit:

Camille Rose Naturals Moisture Butter

Wasn't too sure about it when I tried it the first time. But I tried it again and used Oyin Sugar Berries Pomade over top and my hair came out great. It also works great in my daughter's hair.

Big Hit: Queen Helene Royal Curl Curl Shaping Creme
Misses: preeeetty much everything else. Let's see:

DevaCurl One Condition - waxy, sticky, coated hair
Queen Helene Royal Curl Conditioner - Just...no
D'Curl - Heaven in Hair Deep Conditioner - eh...good leave-in, not so great on the deep end
Pure Fiji Coconut Conditioner - I had such high hopes. Works OK, but not a great conditioner. May try it as a leave-in.
Suave Coconut - I can't really call this a miss. It's a decent co-wash, although I'm really looking for that co-wash that makes my hair feel like I shampoo'ed with CON. LOL

Shi Naturals Henna Gloss--This contains cassia (neutral henna). My hair feels sooo good :yep:. I love this because it takes the work out for me. It's already mixed.

Chicoro's Pre Poo--I use it for GHEing. My mix is aloe vera juice with any oil. I usually seal with the same oil in the mix or vatika frosting.

GHE--Fantastic! I finally have a set technique with it. I spray my hair with my Chicoro's pre poo mix or Claudie's braid spray, followed by oil, then finally one of my creamy moisturizers. One plastic cap covered by my bonnet that is lined with plastic.

Simplifying my routine.

Assessing vendors and products.

@soonergirl

Imma give 'em a try this summer for Cowashing and see what I think.:ohwell:

ETA: You aren't the only one. There have been similiar posts in various WEN Threads.

Getting back on a wash cycle. I don't know why I think that I'm one of those people that can go more than few days without wetting hair. I probably lost almost 6 months of progress by being lazy. So it is every 3 days, no exceptions.

Misses:
None. I'm trying to stick to the types of products that I know work for me. I'm not branching out too much.

Hits:

After several years on this forum and having read hundreds of testimonials, and about 18 months or more of not really buying any hair products at all (I couldn't believe when I noticed that I down to practically no conditioner.....and practically no conditioner to me is like 10 bottles left), I finally decided to buy some Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose conditioner.

I absolutely did not think that it would live up to the hype. I paid $11.00 for it at Whole Foods (and was mad about that price point, to be honest) and almost took it back before I even used it, but I did yesterday and it did not disappoint.

It definitely lives up to the hype and more! As soon as it hit my hair, it relaxed my curl, made my hair shine like glass, instantly detangled it and made it feel like silk. It is probably the best naked conditioner (by that I mean nothing added like silk protein or coconut oil or MSM or honey, et al.) I have ever used.

Beautiful Curls (a line I found at Whole Foods) shea butter leave-in mist -- a great find and a great product.

soonergirl, cosigning on the shedding caused by Wen Fig. It was awful. The shedding was extreme which caused mega tangling and some breakage. I was soooo upset as I was making such good progress with my hair. Thankfully I figured it out after only two uses so was able to limit the damage by incorporating black tea rinses and protein treatments. I sent that ish right back to QVC for a full refund. I plan to avoid menthol in hair products going forward as I'm thinking that might be the culprit ingredient.

Hair4: Thank you for this Post. :yep:

I had this on my list to try out this Summer, but I'm beginning to have serious doubts.

I cannot take the chance of a Set-Back.

Golden75 Please see hair4today post:yep:
Anytime IDareT'sHair, if my comments saves someone else from a similar experience then glad to share. My hair thinned out some but it could've been much worst so for that I'm thankful but no more experimenting with the latest and greatest for quite some time.

I had planned to start last Summer (and didn't). Then I said: "Fall" (and didn't).

Then I said this Winter (and didn't). I pulled out Oyin Honey Hemp instead.

So, I think the Lord was looking out for me. I just can't afford a set-back due to experimentation.:nono:

It would be me that would have all kinds of problems.....

Continued Hits-

*Kyras Ultimate Indulgence-Hydrating Hemp Shampoo Bar..Lathers very well, detangles cleans the scalp & hair with- out stripping, makes the hair fuller ..

*Donna Marie- Super Butter Cream on wet hair, really seals in moisture making my hair look & feel like velvet...

*Rice bran oil-My #1sealent..Wet,dry even to re-soften after a flat ion...

*Deep Conditioning for an hour seems to really do the trick on my hair, unless it's a protein treatment then I'll just do it for 30min...

IDareT'sHair, have you seen any of the non-LHCF hair loss reviews on Wen. Scary stuff. I wish I saw these before deciding to use the product. Looks like you dodged a bullet by listening to your 'inner voice'. Here's the link to those comments. http://www.wenshampoo.org/wen-and-hair-loss.html

Huge miss-

*Wen was the devil on my hair it stuck together...Never Again...That was sometimes back (summer)..
