Wildchild453 Can you share your flaxseed gel recipe?
IDareT'sHair Which comb(s) did you purchase from Hairsense?

Undecided:
CD Tui Spritz - Was a gift, smells wonderful, but has protein and too many artificial ingredients

Hit:
CD Tui Hair Oil - Was a gift, smells wonderful, but it's perfumed corn oil. Why is corn oil and fragrance so darn expensive? I would put this in my oil rotation, but again... CORN OIL. Not Sapote, or Argan, or Monoi de Tahiti or some exclusive oil with amazing hair benefits. SMH

NappyNelle I didn't do anything super complicated. I just boiled the seeds and after straining it I mixed in a little probably about a tsp of sunflower oil and two tsps of aloe vera juice. Oh and I used whatever half of a 1/4 is and 1 cup of water because I don't need a lot of it. I only do my hair once a week and may be able to go longer.

Hit: Suave Naturals Coconut condish for co-washing and leaving in. I'm mad I ever stopped using it. SMH.

Ordering Wen Pumpkin and Vanilla Mint on Ebay and having the sellers ship it out almost immediately.

Miss: Ordering Wen Pumpkin and Vanilla Mint on Ebay but forgetting that I had yet to change my address since I moved. :nono: The worst part is that the forwarding address we used was my in-laws' address (we stayed with them for a bit while house searching)...they live 45 min. away. So now I gotta go there to get my package after waiting darn near a week. *sigh*

NappyNelle

I got several of the Detanglers. The Wide Space, the Super Rake *swapped that one* The 5 tooth Detangler and a couple of combs. A couple of them were gifts from another Niko's Cousin.

And I purchased several. They are very nice.

Leave-In Conditioner (leaves my hair a little soft and shiny)

Oil Moisturizer with Jojoba Oil (extremely thick and very rich - a little goes a very long way)

1st Lather Clarifying Shampoo (sulfate and paraben-free and not drying at all)

Hydrating Detangling Shampoo (I can't say enough about this shampoo - the best moisturizing poo I've ever used).

Their products are great! I love the first lather shampoo & the setting lotion. :yep:

I use the Affirm 5 in 1 Reconstructor and it's a staple, it's made by the same company that makes KeraCare, Avlon.

@Poranges,

I don't yet have the Affirm 5 in 1 Reconstructor nor the setting lotion but they are both on my next list to purchase sometime this month. I do however have the KeraCare Super Reconstructor which I don't need to use just yet seeing that it's a hardcore protien. I just gave myself one of these 5 weeks ago with my Dudley's DRC 28 Protein Treatment.

I have used the 5 in 1 Reconstructor in the past and only stopped using it because I had so many other reconstructors that I was trying to use up in my stash. Now I am only securing my staples and the Affirm 5 in 1 Reconstr. is one of them:yep:.

Soooooooooooo..............we are KeraCare sistas eh:grin:?

HUGE HITS
Terressentials Mud Wash
Curly Girl Method

HUGE MISS
Doing way too much

Purple bolded for me too. I am now combining a lot of my efforts to accommodate all of my challenges and this is working a lot better for me.

This way, it doesn't feel like I'm doing too much anymore. For example, my ayurveda powders are being mixed in with some ceramide oils and black tea and strained as rinses on braided hair. Or I'll mix them in with my cowashes or DC's...ie, 2/3/4 birds with 1 stone...

I am a little happier now that decided to take care of my hair this way.
