I'm sure it will be better if I posted pics of my real hair but can't right now because my hair is braided and I'm also wearing a sew-in wig. But when I take off the wig...I will def post pics of my real hair

But the front of my hair broke off badly from heat and relaxers. It's the right side of my head. The left side of my front head is just fine and is growing back perfectly.

What are some great products that I can use to help restore my hair in the front?

we first need to figure out if it was a moisture, protein or porosity issue. aubrey organics gbp conditioner is a perfect balance of moisture and protein and its cheapest at vitacost.com and vitamin shoppe. for a hardcore protein i like komaza care's protein strengthner. how long have you had the sew-in? when you take it out be gentle with detangling and do a hardcore protein followed by a moisturizing condtioner like aubrey organics honeysuckle rose or J.A.Y (jojoba, aloe, and yucca). what are you moisturizing with while the weave is in? i'll tag folks for you.

since it was bad hair methods and practices that broke your hair off in the first place i think thats what its gonna take to fix it (better methods) not products

LAMARie is that all of your hair? It's beautiful? What methods do you use for your hair

@ sourtherncitygirl thank you. But I remember when I added a relaxer on the front to smooth it out some...and I left it on there for about 10mins...when I started to wash out the relaxer ...I kid you not the front part of my hair was falling out. I didn't go bold. I think it was either bad relaxer or something else. I'm sure it will be helpful if I posted real pics of my actual hair. But most of my pics I'm wearing weave or a wig.

But this happen about 5 months ago...my hair started to grow back...

But I need for the front to grow better..I need for it to grow evenly. The front of my hair use to grow so fast and passed my cheek bone..not anymore

you should gradually trim the damaged hair and baby it. no product magically reverses damage. use a low heat setting or none at all on the hair that is left out. then make sure to mositurize and bay your braided hair. i'm sorry about what happened it does sound like a bad relaxer or like you had a weird reaction to that particular brand.

I agree that it will probably help to trim the broken ends, because as long as they are damaged, your hair won't retain properly. Since it's been five months and the rest of your hair is doing okay, I'm guessing this is a big part of the problem. No retention means no added length, so removing as much of the damage will probably do quite a bit to get you back on track.

I also agree that practices are more important than products, but products are still important. The right products really help make the hair journey easier and more successful, and I don't think anyone can argue that.

The technique side is pretty simple...just make sure to baby your hair. Keeping that portion of your hair very well moisturized, protected, and manipulating it as little as possible is mostly what you need to do. It's really that simple...feed your hair and then leave it alone.

The product side is trickier because everyone's hair is different, so just because a product works well for me or someone else doesn't mean that it'll work for you. You'll have to just experiment and research to figure out what's going to work best for your particular head of hair.

This product helped stop breakage for my hair:

What are you doing to your hair while it's braided up?

Since this could have been caused by a bad relaxer, it's important to give your scalp lots of TLC right now.

Massaging aloe vera gel/juice or castor oil into the affected area daily should help get growth kick-started again.

Daily moisturizing and regular deep conditioning will help you retain the length that you gain.

What products are you currently using?
