I've been applying cocoa butter to my skin for almost a year now, and it absolutely loves it! I just co-washed my hair today, and I thought I'd use some CB on my hair and I will tell you, I was like :burning:... Why didn't I do this sooner? It made my hair sooo soft, yall. I finger combed my hair and it COMPLETELY minimized my tangles. This is a staple!!! I've also been reading a lot about mango butter. Those of you who do use it, how does it differ from CB? Out of all honesty, I'd like to try a diff butter because I don't like my hair smelling like chocolate.
Anyway, ladies, what are your fave butters and why?

Ohemet Burdock root butter Cream
Enso's Natural Olive & Honey Butter(need to find a replacement)

I absolutely looooove Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Moisturizer!! :lick: My relaxed hair is in heaven with it!! So soft and plumped! I buy these in bulk.

My NG loves Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie but my relaxed hair couldn't care less! WAIT! <---- Is this considered a butter? LOL! OH WELL! It smells heavenly!!

Qhemet Biologics Alma & Olive Oil Heavy Cream, I love it because I can use it year round and a little bit goes a long way.

Hi, What is cocoa butter? Like the cocoa butter push up stick? What brand of cocoa butter did you use?

I used raw cocoa butter. I ordered it from Amazon.
This is the one I use. It is a solid but I soften it up a bit with my blow dryer as I use it.

What is the consistency of the Elasta QP Olive Oil & mango butter moisturizer?

Butters that I use for hair are Shea Butter, Mango Butter (edges only, doesn't smooth out easily), and my new favorite is Kukui Nut Butter.

bellebebe It has a nice supple and thick consistency. It melts like butter in your hair. My hair is thick so it drinks it up nicely. I'll try to get a pic of the thickness in a sec.

Toy Thanks!

For now I'm using Shea aloe mixed with coconut and olive oil. Now that it's starting to get colder I need to move to a heavier butter. I need to order soon, thanks for the reminder

I always have Shea butter on deck. Its a staple for skin, and hair (including using as my heat protectant). I'm actually holding on to my last little bit because I have to go into the city to get the real Shea butter.

excuse my typos i hate it as much as you.

I love avocado butter and capuacu butter. Tucuma butter is quite nice too =) I love it on my hair.

I also like QB's Burdockroot Butter and SM Curl Enhancing Smoothie. They're just heavenly.

I really love shealoe butter. I haven't had a ton of luck with others but I feel like this helps me seal and leaves my hair feeling great. I buy it from lotioncrafters right now.

So far, shea butter with some coconut oil and honey. Planning to try coco and mango next year so thanks for the tip!

I'm really loving (in order):

Qhemet's Aethiopeka Hydrate & Twist Butter :lick:

Saravun's Brocolli Seed Butter :lick:

Anita Gant's Whipped Butter :lick:

Hairitage Hydration's Blackberry Sage Moisturizer (it's called a moisturizer, but it has no water in it, so I consider it a butter. Very rich and creamy. :lick: )

IDareT'sHair How is that Donna Marie Super Buttercream? I've been trying to convince myself that I don't need it, but am not succeeding.
