Are you someone who only uses Aveda? Please come with some reviews on their leave-ins, dc's, shampoos and stuff?

my stylist in tallahassee used to use the brilliant emollient spray which was fab and the brilliant universal cream which was also good. I would buy the products but they're too rich for my blood.

I always liked their Be Curly curl enhancer on my 4a hair

I was a fan for years but finally moved on. Aveda be curly is a good leave in for natural hair even if your hair more kinky than curly. Dry remedy is a good conditioner.

I love love the Aveda Dry Remedy. I wish they will come up with a leave-in for this product line. This is my only staple I really like from Aveda. There was their shampure shampoo, I liked the smell, but never re bought.

Aveda DR Line:
Conditioner: The bomb!!!!
Shampoo: Okay
Moisturizing Treatment Masque: so so, haven't really gave it a chance.

Brilliant Line:
Anti-Humectant Pomade: Don't see the harp on this one (don't like the smell)

Light Elements Smoothing Fluid: Okay

I need to buy some more of that conditioner. I use it straight or add some rice bran oil (ceramide) to it for DC.

One thing about Aveda is good customer service. I remember once I tried either brilliant or damage remedy conditioner on recommendation from one of the staff and it was not good for my hair, DR did the job. I brought back the product, no bill and they was willing to give me my money back. I wanted the DR and got that instead. I was real impressed by that cause I had used the product and no bill, and had no hassle.

i spoke about the aveda moisture treatment i got a few weekends ago. I will be purchasing the dry remedy conditioner very soon.

I have used and like the Dry Remedy line; however, it's pricey. I have not purchased it (salon use only).

A couple of friends swear by the Be Curly.

I was obsessed with Aveda when I was natural in the 90's. I don't use their products any more. Elixer was my fave, which was discontinued, but I heard was coming back as something different. Who knows. I've moved on.

Damage Remedy is really good IMO, but the price is more than I am willing to spend on a regular basis.

I've been an on again, off again fan of Aveda for years. My favs:

Damage Remedy Line - I love how its both moisturizing and strengthening. It adds just enough protein without making my hair hard.
Brilliant - Retexturing Gel, Universal Styling Cream, Anti-Humectant and Humectant Pomades.

the damage remedy treatment is amazing. i loved it while i was relaxed and now that im natural.

I used Detoxifier on/off for years as it was my go to Clarifying shampoo. The back of my hair used to break come Summer due to the salt build up from sweat. The shampoo used to remove everything, leaving my hair cleansed but not stripped. It's a shame that it is it's been discontinued.

I want to try the Scalp Shampoo. Anyone tried it? Any good?

my fine hair loves (transitioning to natural, month 4)
aveda damage remedy
brilliant damage control leave in spray
smooth infusion style prep smoother
antihumectant pomade (for when I flat iron)
humectant pomade (for buns, edges)

I love aveda damage remedy!!! It brought my hair back, and I love it...
I also love the universal styling creme...

Today I tried Brilliant shampoo. My hair was so dry and I had been co-washing with not so good results (hair was very dry). Today I washed my hair with brilliant shampoo and my hair felt moist after shampooing. I will know for sure after I rinse this conditioner out and dry. I do love damage remedy treatment and conditioner for sure.

I use the Aveda Scalp Benefits Balancing Shampoo. It does a great job of lifting all the dirt from my hair. It also has a nice little tingle to it. I've read the ingredients and I can't seem to find out what causes the tingling though.
Today my stylist used Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid on my hair instead of the MoroccanOil treatment that she usually uses. It got the job done, my hair is light and smooth but the result weren't as good as the MoroccanOil results in my opinion.

allmundjoi there are a wee bit of cones but they are pretty far down the list:
Aqueous (Water, Aqua Purificata, Purified) Extracts: Hippophae Rhamnoides Extract, Medicago Sativa (Alfalfa) Leaf Powder, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Stearalkonium Chloride, Behentrimonium Chloride, Phenyl Trimethicone,, Quaternium-80, Glycerin, Stearyl Alcohol, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Fusanus Spicatus Wood Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil, Chenopodium Quinoa Seed Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Hordeum Distichon (Barley) Extract, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Tocopherol, Babassuamidopropyltrimonium Methosulfate, Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Behenamidopropyltrimonium Methosulfate, Dicaprylyl Maleeate, Dimethiconol Meadowfoamate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polyquaternium-10, Fragrance (Parfum), Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol, Citric Acid, Sodium Gluconate, Methylcholroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.

I'm transitioning with about 3-4 inches of relaxed hair left. I have used this as both completely natural and texlaxed, good stuff :yep:

:yep:I like the Confixor Liquid Gel. I tried it on my hair yesterday and went back today to purchase it. I was given a sample of the Damage Remedy Line. I can't wait to try it this weekend.

I love the Damage Remedy line - I am currently using the shampoo, conditioner, treatment and the leave in - they are all great!!!!
