I recently got a moisture treatment at an Aveda salon and it was pure heaven blessed moisture! I want to do the treatments at home but can't for the life of me find the treatments on line. Again it was a spray in of some sort. Does anyone know what the heck i'm talking about?

Call the salon. I would think they will tell you, since they used it on your head. Could be a new test product or in-salon only treatment.

ETA: and if you call and they tell you, please do tell us!

I will call and see if they will spill the beans

It's botanical hair therapy and aveda does not sell it to consumers :(

I was about to say this. I had one done a couple of weeks ago but the protein one which made my hair feel really great. I got it done for free since I got a color & dusting.

I am super bummed because when I say the treatment brought the moisture I'm not kidding. The consultant said the dry remedy treatment is the next best thing. I will be getting it asap the moistrizing poo surprisingly from the dry remedy line was good too.

@Je Ne Sais Quoi - try to get the sample first, if you can, or buy direct from Aveda in case you don't like it. I've read mixed reviews on the dry remedy. And of course, report back!

TIA!

Yes ma'am :yep:

Dayum son. They always keep the expert stuff to themselves. *kicks rocks*
I know, right. I was super bummed to find this out. I may have to get a monthly appointment for the treatment only.

Did they wash your hair and spritz the treatment on? Give us the details pls. Do you mind sharing the cost?

Thanks.

Hey yodie!

Yes, they first washed with the dry remedy poo then sprayed on the treatment. She then wrapped my hair in a hot towel for ten minutes. During the treatment she gave me a nice relacing hand massage. After that she rinsed me. My total was $80 but that included a trim. I could have likely gotten the treatment only for I think $20 or something like that.

Thanks. Which salon did you go to? I think the closest one to me is at the Fashion Square mall.

I think the prices vary by salon. Of course I googled trying to find a glimpse of the ingredients, but nada. Most ranged from about $35-$50 I think for the treatment.

Off to check that link....

Dangit, I cant see more than the bottle. Will look at the link from my computer tonight

I dont think this is it because the lady I spoke with said that it was pretty new

Paul Mitchell has a new treatment called the Awapuhi Treatment that makes my hair feel soft and silky and you can buy it on Amazon or Ebay. Try that.

Je Ne Sais Quoi

I recently purchased the Dry Remedy treatment that I think you've posted about; the bottle says to spray it on the hair and let process at room temp for 5 minutes.

I was just wondering if you could tell me any of the other before and after steps they did at the salon? (Like, shampoo--did they use dry remedy shampoo, conditioner and mask? Did they use a specific leave in? Etc)

This is it.

I think this is actually a better deal because you get the 8.5 oz instead of 25 ml :

This is what jenesaisquoi said about the process:

"Yes, they first washed with the dry remedy poo then sprayed on the treatment. She then wrapped my hair in a hot towel for ten minutes."

*happy dance*

LHCF has introduced me to the good stuff!! No salon required :creatures!

Yep, that's the one. I'm going to try it this weekend and see what results I get. I guess to simulate the 'hot towel' I can just sit under my steamer for 10 minutes?

I think so. The hot towel itself is supposed to stimulate a steam treatment. Please report back with results. I love Aveda dry remedy and am excited to hear about anything from that line that actually works better than the deep treatment.

DoDo I'll definitely report back. I'm hoping it's better than the masque too, which is already AMAZING. I actually found that Dry Remedy Salon treatment on Ebay because I was trying to find a bottle of their new Dry Remedy daily oil that they're debuting this month; I have a small sample from a store and it's SO light, yet makes the hair so soft. I was feeling eager and impatient
