Does anyone know if human hair would make long braids like this lighter?

nakialovesshoes Human hair would make the braids lighter, but they may still be too much for someone with short hair not only because your head hasn't yet become accustomed to carrying so much hair so it will be heavy and cause undue stress, but also it takes some practice to learn how to live with long hair like that and sitting on it or getting it caught in furniture may mean yanking a braid and your hair off. (My Spanish friend has but length hair and even though she's had it for years she complains how frustrating it is to have it down because it just is so much in the way. So if someone who's lived with long hair has issues, I can foresee alopecia.) I personally wouldn't do it unless I had hair that was at least WL or so...and then I don't even know if I'd want them so long. I'm getting irritated just thinking about it. So yes, I'm the odd one out; not a fan.

The longest human hair I've been able to find is 28"-30". And since I fold mine in half when braiding, I just get 14-15-inch braids, so if you decided to do it, you'd probably have to use the method of only folding the ends to get that length.

They both rock it, but the braids on the right catch my eye. They make me want braids soooo bad now!!

Also...is it wrong that I think the lady on the right looks like a mocha version of Judy from the bad girls club??

@ladylibra30 I think they are two different girls. The lip shape on the first girl is drastically different from the lip shape on the second. nose shape/size and space between the brows differ too. Also , the skin tones and lines in the face differ slightly. ( i'm an illustrator and draw portraits as a side job ) They may be related. but i think different girls. If it IS the same girl in both pics - WHOA. what a change. i like the twists on the first girl but i like the way the girls braids on the right lay. lovely!

I thought it was just the makeup as far as skin tone goes as the first pic has a darker hue about the mouth area...
I hesitated on the lips too but just chalked it up to lip liner application...

I think it's the same chic LOL!

I agree. The left pic looks like a man dressed as the girl on the right for halloween :look:

I have in butt length braids at this moment and they were awkward at first it feels better down than up in a bun but this is just too long and i know her neck hurts

Awesome and beautiful. I'm sure those are heavy. I worn shoulder length individuals several times. I could never braid the whole head due to the weight of the braids. I was one of those females that only braid the outside and wear a bun on top. LOL

This has to be what an extra 5 to 10 pounds on top of the head? They must double in weight when they have to wash them.

Maybe they are brother and sister. :lachen:

I love the look of the braids, reminds me of Patra. 'Memba her?
I love the look but I'd NEVER get
1. synthetic hair (slices my hair off)
2. braids this long (:nono: chill)

@LongLeggedLife

hmmm why not? just curious. as far as the the girl on the right, at least.

Tbh, that length is gonna look impractical and ridiculous on anybody who isnt 7feet tall, makes her look like Cousin It.

The lady on the right has a great face(reminds me of Lauren Hill a little) and to me all that hair takes away from it, I could see her looking much better with a low caesar.

(and the clothing definitely is not helping to make anybody look stylish:/)

I had some this summer. They were heavy when I washed them, but weren't when they were dry. Don't get me wrong, they were heavier than my natural hair, but not enough to make my neck hurt. Here's a picture.

those are two different girls lol
i can see why everyone prefers the braids over the twists
the twists are a little big compared to the braids... but im a twists girl
cant wait to get mines next month

The hair style is beautiful, but that's definitely too much weight and a whole lot of stress to your hair.
My edges broke off the last I had long Senegalese twist. So I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who dont have thick, strong, long hair because it will just mess your hair up. Especially when it gets caught somewhere and you move and it pulls on your hair from the roots upward. [PAINFULL]

the woman on the right looks like a dollybaby w/ the overlong hair. just so perfect! her features are beautiful and everything just works together so well ('cept for the outfit. she has a lovely shape but appears a little sloppy here)

the one on the left... uhm... knows where you live and is about to cut all y'all. i'm not sayin' nuttin
