I'm sooo elated!!! Giving up relaxers has really helped my retention. APL here I finally come!!!!!

Thanks ladies! I've been at this haircare stuff for 5 years! (Joined LHCF in '04 but didn't get serious about if until '06). I never would have thought I'd finally figure it out and make it this far. I'm really thankful for LHCF!!!

transitioning? - My regi mainly consists of keeping my hair in braided sections when washing or DCing and overnight DCing weekly with MegaSilk Olive Oil Conditioner. I very rarely allow my hair to curl up completely because I haven't mastered detangling yet.

Before wearing braids for the past 2 months, I used heat weekly, blowdrying and flat ironing (it just works for me). I followed westNDNbeauty flat ironing natural hair technique using the MegaSilk conditioner and Nioxin Thermal Bliss. (I added IC heat protector and my Bioinfusion olive oil moisturizer). I also stopped using shampoo because it dries my 4b hair out. I only shampoo once a month.

While in braids I try to keep up with rinsing weekly and I still overnight DC but with something thinner than the MegaSilk like Suave Coconut. That's it. That's all.
