Hi it's been 1 month post BC and I'd really like to know what my hair type is please :yep:

Not sure if you'd be able to tell from this image below

Also what products are most suitable for my hair type?

:thankyou:

In no way am I a hair typing expert so it is difficult for me to say but possibly a 4a/4b mix. It may be a little too soon to tell though because your texture may appear different right after a big chop (1st couple of months) but then change. Some refer to it as scab hair which describes hair that is dry and unusually coarse. Even though my hair was much longer when I BC'd I still had terribly dry hair for a a couple of months. Either way enjoy your "new" head of hair.

Looks like 4b with red relaxed ends. I thought you said you BC'ed.

Hi the hairdresser cut the back/sides/top off except the tuft lol no idea as to why maybe for style or because initially I was undecided as to whether to cut it off with the shears or scissors but I'm going back to cut it off. :yep:

Hallo! Congrats on your BC and you might wanna play around with products because hair type isn't the best basis for which products to use. Other factors like your porosity, elasticity and what you want out of a product are more reliable. Trial and error seems to be common. ^.^

I agree that it's cut too low to tell really...but 4a/b mostly likely. I like the tuft up front, it definitely gives you a unique cut.

It's short but I see lots of lil coils. I feel safe saying 4a. You may discover a mix later on but it's still mostly 4a.
