Mop from what I have heard is one of the best conditioners out there. I dont purchase it because it is very expensive.

I have seen it at TJ Maxx and Marshalls for very inexpensive. When I run out of one of my conditioners I am going to try it.

totally not !!!
don't judge the book by its cover; it's not because its name is "chloride" or "alcool" that means it's a drying ingredients. do your search first !!!
Cetrimonium chloride, a cationic quarternary compound(I don't know if Im writing it correctly in english sorry ^^") has a unique ability to detangle, for me it's so a must have for 4b/c hair that I bought it by tis own for making my homemade detangling spray, moisturizer etc.. Also, when use with BTMS(behentrimonium methosulfate in addition to cetearyl alcohol) it has greaaat conditioning properties !!

Cetearyl alcohol is a natural extract from colza or from palm,
it's a blend of cetyl alcohol and stearic alcohol, and it's a emollient. Its used as a emulsifier and a condition agent.
Lots of natural things, part, extracts can also be called "acid" (lauric acid, myristate acid, linoleic acid) but it doesn't mean it's an acid like the one who burn skin :o !!!! totally not !

I bought PH Balance strips from Kimmaytube's website and now I don't put anything in my hair unless it has a PH balance of 7. Its a great way to find out if a product is too acidic or drying.

I have no idea if that particular conditioner is drying, but for how much it costs it better not be! LOL Like somebody else mentioned, I'd purchase it from Marshall's because at least you can try it at a cheaper rate. Does ULTA let you bring purchases back? Because if it doesn't work maybe you can bring it back for a refund.

Also Marshalls and TJ Maxx allow you to return.

I always thought the Ph should be a minium of 4.5 a max of 5.5.

My distilled water is 7. and I add an equal amount of avj to it to bring down the ph

I agree. I believe it is the range of the natural pH of skin and hair and maintaining it helps keeps the cuticles closed and retain moisture.
