Anyone ever run into or suspect someone to be a LHCF member?

I've run into a few members here and there. Sometimes I speak and sometimes I don't. Sometimes they spot me and speak.

I saw a forum member in Target about 8 months ago, in the elevator with her boyfriend. I was in the elevator with DH and there were a few other people as well. I happened to look up and realized that I knew her, but only by screen name & from her youtube videos.

I didn't say hello. Once we were off the elevator we went in opposite directions. I did tell DH that I recognized her from the hair board. I realized later that I should have said something but I could not find her in the store. I wish that I would have said something in the elevator.

Like this?

ooohhh...I am TOTALLY getting one of these!

I suspect it when I am around a lady who can't help but to comment on my hair, or answer a question related to it that was asked to me. If their hair is really nice or in a ps I don't think about it, but when they are compelled to respond I always chuckle. I never ask though.

The DC area seems like it has tons of members, not to mention lurkers. When I see people with nice and healthy hair I have to wonder. Also, when I go into Sally's and see certain products sold out (like Roux PC) all the time, I think to myself, "Those LHCF'ers!!" lol

I think I have seen a few that I suspect around Union Station, but I don't dare bother a commuter after work. All I do is think to myself "I want my hair to blow like that when the train comes in the station".

Well kind of, there is this lady on my job who was telling me about LHCF, and showing me all the interesting topics. This was maybe 3 months ago. I pretended I have never heard of LHCF and said I'll check it out when I get a chance. (if only she knew I been knew about this site and how hair obsessed I am) :wacky:

Instead of saying are you nikos cousin (since ppl are still shy 'bout that, and it's kinda funny), then we should revise the question and say, "hey, do you know someone name nikos?".. LOL.. but then again, maybe that's just as bad as askin if you're a cousin.. I dunno.. what y'all think?

I must admit that when I see Black women looking at "White products" in the hair products aisle, I wonder if they are LHCFers
:yep: Especially when they're in the hair section at Ulta. :sekret:

:lachen: Me too! Especially when it's something that's been bandwagoned recently. Really supsicious when all the Joico K-Pak reconstructor is gone from Ulta but everything else by Joico is still in stock. :lachen:

Why didn't I just ask?! I know I saw someone that had to be a Nikos Cousin at the grocery store. We were both in the "black haircare section", eyballing ingredients on various conditioners. Both our hair was in ps. C'mon son! 1+1=2 :lachen::lachen:

I've always wanted to say," Are you Bev's cousin?" or "Do you know Bev?" only because that's the first person I think of when I think of LHCF.:yep:

Yep met my first Niko's cousin about 2 wks ago. I use to work w/her and stumbled upon her at whole foods. Once she told me about some of the products she was looking for and the fact that she was trying to make her own spritz I asked her if she was on lhcf..and sure enough she was!

It's actually quite exciting meeting a member cuz.

oh yes girl, all the time. Protective stylin and junk. There's this group of ladies at church who all have fabulous hair and their young daughters who are barely teens have waist length hair. I wonder about them all the time.

1+

There are these teenage girls at my church and mostly half of them went natural. Some of the ladies in my church are natural. Even some people with relax hair have thick and full healthy looking hair. Either some of these ladies been lurking, are members, or know good healthy hair habits.

I went to NYC on vacation this month and I know I saw LHCF'ers all around! In the airport, at a Trader Joe's I happened to stumble across and couldn't resist going in to (those grocery cart escalators are something I've never seen!), just walking on the street. And they all had one thing in common -- juicy buns! I could tell they were all at minimum APL and longer! --- and sadly I saw at least one who no way could have been an LCHF'er. Poor lady looked like she applied her lacefront with white Elmer's glue.

Either their lhcf members or they just had healthy hair practices that lhcf taught us and some people may have already known... i have an older cousin whose hair was tb length since ive known her...but she always wore it up in french roll... I just thought she didnt want her hair in her face or she just didnt want to show it off but after learning about hair care i realized she could have just been wearing it like that for the sake of protective styling.

My mom used to tell me stuff like too much heat and wearing ur hair out is gonna make ur hair break off... I just thought it was somethin ol school haitian people said... Never realized there could have been any truth to it.

I saw a girl who I was in class with with near waist length hair this past weekend and I was like dang! She had waist length hair before and cut it to SL last year and I know that she is not a member of any hair boards.

I see a lot of people in class with WSL hair and I wish it were me and again I know that they're not a member of this or any other hair board. Sigh genetics:look:

I think there may be a few in STL...Theres alot of CurlyNikki and BeautifulBrwnBabyDol fans here and once you start looking at 1 hair care site you get sucked into a bunch...

I wish! Not a ton of people around here have healthy looking hair. I wish I had someone to talk to but I think Denver is dry lol

I am new (well i been reading the threads for a while so I mean new as in I just PAID yesterday) and I had to literally LOL when I saw this thread title. My husband thinks I'm pyscho because everytime I see a girl with long HEALTHY hair I say I wonder if shes on the forum. I mean I can't be the only hair obsessed girl around here... can I?:sekret:

I saw somebody in Nordstroms on Friday and was like she has GOT to be a LHCF member... but im always to chicken to ask...

I find myself pulling up LHCF on my phone while clearing my throat or something dramatic and and slowly going past the header on the page. I figure if you frequent the board, you're familiar with the look. :look:

But you know what? I bet I can identify some ladies from the back of dey heads if they simply wear it out.... or stretch a piece down in the back. :lachen:

heck yeah.. I ran into a chick coming into work one morning.. we both complimented one another on our fros/puffs.... I honestly feel like if it were only she/I in the elevator I wouldve asked her if she was Nikos cousin.....uuugghhh!!! MISSED opportunity!.. if your reading this.. i'll be seeing you again.. and I'll be asking :look:

I asked a couple of women based on what they mentioned they used on their hair and both had no idea who Nikos was :nono: I then realized some wome with long hair have been doing what I consider the 2 most important things to retain length .......oiling the ends and wearing buns :yep:

Mmmmhmmm. I was in a health food store back home & we were looking at castor oil & essential oils. She had a lf on, so I got up the nerve to ask. We both breathed a sigh of relief and had a convo about it in the aisle. My bff has joined this site too.

I swear one of my college buddies is a member but she always acts "hush hush" about the forums.

She knows all the hair lingo and natural care products. I dunno. Maybe she's a big YT'er.
