I was thinking about having a steaming party. Maybe where people could try out the steamer for 5 minutes. I could give away a 60 minute steaming. There's just so much I could do. But I think I'll have a glass of wine while steaming:lachen:.

Seriously... I had a steaming party last week:yep: It was so fun!! The girls even sent me a $50 gift card after the fact for hosting:grin:

Some sellers say you can use tap water, but I would suggest that you not do it. Tap water has minerals and other bad stuff in it. Overtime it would cause your steamer to stop working. I always use distilled water in mine.
 
Ur exactly right Coffee, Mine is advertised as Tap Water Friendly. I still was using Distilled water ran out for like a month. It started to spit hot water at me get deposits and it basically stopped steaming, I ran it with Vinegar to clear out the minerals and haven't used tap since. I buy like 7 bottles of distilled at a time and refill on the second to last.
 
JJamiah, do you empty the water out after using it? I always pour what's left back into the distilled water bottle. I'm referring to the part that you put the water in, not the little drip bottle.
 
Ladies, when I spoke to the company I purchased it from, they suggested I drain the remaining water out of the steamer by unscrewing the black knob on the side. This will help to avoid water/deposit buildup, even with using distilled water. Just a FYI.

I wasn't referring to the water that goes into the steamer, I was talking about the plastic jug you put the water into.

I always drain my steamer after using.
 
Wow, I'm kinda glad I broke my other steamer :lachen:. I just finished and this one seems to have more "umph" to it. Maybe more power or something, but it works a lot better than my old one.

My hair and I are both feelin fine bout now :lachen:.
 
When I'm done, I simply take out and turn the reservoir bottle up. No need to throw away good water.

the hooded dryer is hot air, whereas the steamer is finely misted hot water. Imagine your hair if you were to sit in a steamy shower room for while. All that moisture circulation and marinating in your hair :lick::lick:

Sounds great.... sooooo how long does the moisture last in the hair? With my hooded dryer it only lasts a day or two.
 
I just want to give a "thumbs up :dance7:" to Eva Brand where I purchased my steamer. There is a problem with the hood leaking, I emailed them through eBay to let them know about the problem. I received an reply this am, requesting that I call to see if they could help me. Anyway, the hood appears to be defective and they are sending me a replacement steamer that I should have Tue or Wed next week. She wanted to know if I was going to use the one I have again or she could have it picked up tomorrow. When I told her I was going to use it on Saturday, she said she would have it picked up on Monday. Great Customer Service!!

Coffee - Oh yes, I knew what you were referring to. I was just letting everyone know it's suggested that we drain all the water out of the steamer. I will honestly say, I wasn't doing this at first because I was like, hmph I'm using distilled water so what's the big deal. I later found out that I should drain it. Good thing I found out before I encountered a problem.
