A hot oil treatment before washing and Bee Mine Balanced Moisturizer .Avoid Avoid Glycerin !

I agree with Kindheart. Oil treatments work magic for frizz! And yea if you don't want big hair, avoid the glycerin cuz your hair WILL puff up. Also, naturalista cosmestics' juicy leave-in is wonderful for fighting frizz and blocking humidity. I swear by that stuff

I got a coupon for that because I was Naturalista's Beauty of the Day last month.:yep: I think i'll try it because my hair is so frizzy! I look like a Chia Pet.:look:

vevster im going to assume that you're STILL in queens like me and im sitting at my computer this very minute sweating like a pig because of this humidity. it's even IN my house!!

a rollerset doesnt have a chance in hell staying straight in this weather. although ive had good luck with frederic fekkai olive glossing cream. id gone away and it was humid (though dunno if it was THIS humid) and my hair stayed straight when i used that.

I just moved to Texas and this heat kills my roller set. I don't know what to do to prevent my hair from frizzing up.

My hair only stays straight in the summer when I get it done professionally.

For twist-outs, Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In does the trick.

i never straighten in the summer. for me it would be futile and my hair would laugh.

now if it gets bigger and curlier from a wash and go and twistout, then i just rock that bad boy

Vev, I swear by DCing well in advance, then applying a serum to damp hair to further seal in the moisture. I don't believe in using anything else. I feel as if other products interfere with the serum's adhesion to hair and protection. My boo John Frieda has never failed me. When I was relaxed that's what I used before I used a curling iron to set my hair, and my hair stayed poof-free all day. I imagine it'd work with rollersetting just the same.

When I straighten my natural hair, I also use only protectant in my hair after ensuring I get all my moisture during the DC step of my wash. And I do not get reversion in this case either.

Vigarol relaxed styling foam mousse (pink on white can) applied to freshly washed wet hair. It's good for edges too when used like a gel. Good stuff!

kimmaytube's homemade leave-in conditioner:

2 tablespoons of each of the following:
Aloe vera juice
Your favorite conditioner
Jojoba oil
Castor oil

or any PH balanced products that have beneficial ingredients in them that work good with your hair...

I am the Queen of the frizz, but John Frieda's frizz-Ease collection does wonders for my frizz. I use the smooth start shampoo, then the conditioner and top it off with the hair serum.

I rollerset regularly and lately my hair has been frizzing up as well except for today, here's what I did different this time:

I deep conditioned with heat (I haven't done that in a while) , after using my usual leave in I used lottabody setting lotion (the one with olive oil) which I diluted 1 part lotion to 4 parts water. I actually used quite a bit and my curls held up all day even with some light rain and humidity. For styling I used Ion pomade wax (similar to aveda antihumectant pomade). I was loving my hair today. Tonight I put a bit of mizani supreme oil and tied it up, my curls still look good so I'm not resetting.

Last night was the first time I used the lotion and the pomade and I'm impressed with both. For the amount of setting lotion I used I expected crispy curls but not at all, and best of all, a lot less frizz (practically none)
