So I've officially been a member since 12.12.10 I relaxed right before I joined and 6.26.11 I relaxed again.

I was trying the whole transition thing but my natural hair started kicking my butt when it came to styles for job interviews.

I'm still trying to get my reggie down but I think I've found some staple products...

Tresemme All Natural Conditioner, Apohgee Moisture Balance Conditioner, African Pride Hot 6 Oil, HS 14-1, Fantasia IC heat protectant, ORS Aloe Shampoo & Replenishing Conditioner and Infuseium 23 leave-in

Here is my starting pic:

Lastly, I'm thinking its time to get another trim. My last trim was in April, my ends are seemingly even but idk. I don't wanna go to a shop and they say I need a trim when I really don't. SO what do you all think???

if the pictures are too big plz let me know..

TIA

Good progress!

About the trim, I don't wait till I need it. I view dusting as taking preventative measures to prevent the need for a trim, and 2 months is as long as I'm willing to go w/o dusting. So if I were you, I'd dust. But it's really up to you. *shrug*

Nonie Heyy girl!!! I was looking into dusting just last week. but IDK what I'd be doing. any tutorial videos that you'd recommend? Thankx for the response and compliment.

thebelleofelle I don't know of any videos because I figured out a way to do it myself without the need to get direction from anywhere. I just put my hair in very small twists (braids could work too) and just snip off a tiny amount--the same amount--from all the ends. My hair is usually in it's shrunken natural state, so I feel and pull till I'm holding about the same amount for each twist and snip. I keep them up in a pony tail pulling out one at a time, so I can ensure I do the same thing to all of them.

Because your hair is straight, figuring out how to cut the same length from each section should be very easy. Just makes sure the braids/or twists or sections you work on are small so you can have a fairly even trim all through.

thanks everyone, I'm trying to get to APL quick...IDK what I've been doing but I'm going to keep doing it so I can get there before Sept.

If you don't have split ends I say don't trim. What's the point?
Way to go on your progress!
