In the weight loss community, we call these "non scale victories" and they are the little things we notice on a day to day basis that show us we are on the right track with our journeys (ie better fitting jeans). They have nothing to do with the scale. Rather, they are tiny signs that we are doing something right.

I think the same thing goes for hair! You might not be at your desired lengt yet, but you are probably on the right track! Have you had a EHV? I sure have! Here are mine:

- no more flakes/scaling since I started using coconut oil on my scalp
- less breakage during styling

What are some of yours?

Hair holding moisture without having to m/s 2x day anymore.
Meaning for my hair= porosity is intact
P/M balance is good
I could steal the scalp thing OP but you I have the same victory with the Coconut oil.

MsLi@512 I am waiting for the day when I can say that my hair is properly balanced! And, go ahead and steal the coconut oil EHV. It is a miracle worker!

alive I am such a PJ :-( I need to learn how to stick with products!

well moisturized hair
hair and ends getting thicker (Thank GOD for castor oil)
minimum to no SSKs

Healthy Hair
Super Soft and Strong Hair-2 years ago I didnt know what my hair felt when it was soft
Being able to get hair that lasts all week if I wanted to- I love playing in it so I dont normally go longer than 4 days:) BUT I have the option

Tangle free, moisturised, balanced hair

temfash your hair looks sooo good in your siggie! is that your primary protective style or do you have others you can share with us? :yep:

CurlyLawGal i have a shelf in my room where i keep all my hair products and for some reason, i can't stand it when it's cluttered  that helps a TON. you should try it :yep:

Mainly only shed hairs come out.
Hair stays moisturized for a while.
Retaining my growth as I can now feel it on my back. I especially wear tank tops around the house just so I can feel the progress I've made:look:

I don't have see copious amounts of hair on the sink after... notice the use of "copious" .. there is still some there, but nowhere near as much. lol.

My hair is longer weighted down or greasy. I used to put in WAY too much leave-in/product. Less is more, I've found.

QBOE2001 I haven't been good to my hair lately. That method made no difference in my hair in the past but I didn't have this issue then. I should revist

Sent from my PC36100 using PC36100

Oh thanks for the compliment I mainly do twists/canerows that style was a fluke, I needed a quick style for work so I just did 3 diagonally parted canerows.

-I have some shrinkage finally (to me shrinkage=health)
-balance stronger hair
-I'm retaining moisture longer. I cowash daily and I don't have to worry about my hair drying out.
