I don't always check. I just assume they are licensed. I'm going to start looking and start asking. lol
 
in the dominican salon i used to go to, the only license i saw hanging up was the owners...i refuse to believe all the stylists there were licensed, but they were good lol

As long as they don't handle chemical, I think it's OK to be there without a license (at least in the state of Florida). Shampoo girls definitely don't need it.
 
you can always look it up online. check your state's professional regulations website. you can see your stylist's history with stateboard.
 
They are supposed to be in plain view in the salon, but if they are "apprentices" under another licensed stylist, they should have a document stating that. Again, visible in plain view in the salon...
 
I would be suspect of a stylist who didn't have her license in plain view. :nono::nono::nono: They would not get my money.

This is almost always the case (except they aren't always all good). And yes. Most licensed stylists will have it displayed. Those who aren't, won't :D That's kind of how you know. In most states it's mandatory that it be visibly displayed in the salon.
